Rather than casting mind flay, rework the talent to summon tentacles that cast mind flay on a certain % like corruption on BFA
Please for the love of SoD DO NOT Normalize rageThe feeling of a world buffed warrior in classic wow/SoD is what I imagine cocaine would feel like. I've played many classes and specs in classic and SoD and nothing ever compares to the warrior game play. For me it's the most special, unique, and fun class in ALL of WoW interms of how a class plays with their resource bar. Classic warrior is classic wow, to take away the biggest reason why that class is fun to play would be the biggest mistake in all of SoD. I do recognize that casters are being left in the dust against melee in ST, add spellpower to existing world buffs @ 60, and more caster elixirs/food/ in raid exclusive stuff? idk the solution. PLEASE don't do the thing like you did in P2 where melee were on top in the previous phase so u basically screwed them over in the next phase with lvl 40 bosses with lvl 60 armor. Bring casters up without bringing the melee down. Idk if I could forgive the dev team If you guys do end up normalizing rage, especially after everyone waited 4 phases for endgame content. This class really holds a special place in my heart, I promise you no one who actually plays SoD and mains warrior will like this change
Love that sword rogue getting some much needed love
I’ve posted some of those in some discord already, so maybe some people already heard about it.For Shadowpriests and Mind Flay my Idea would be:Mind Flay now deals damage every 0.75 (From every 1 second).Mind Flay now deals it’s damage over 4 instances (From 3).This is a change, that was made in later expansions, because this way, you can interrupt Mind Flay after exactly 2 ticks, instead of having to wait another half second. This makes the class way more fluid. If wanted, we can double the stacks of Mind Spike and hanging it’s effect (15% Crit per Stack, Max. 6 Stacks) and make Mind Flay apply a stack, whenever it deals damage. This way, Mind Flay can be used for a Mind Blast Build. We could also, shift Mind Flay more into the Dot style, the Shadow is known for. Something like, speeds up Dots by x% but removes the Slow from Mind Flay, or maybe something like:“Whenever Mind Flay is fully channeled, the last tick deals additional damage. The damage consumes 3 Seconds of each of the Shadows Dots and deals the consumed Dot damage instantly/as another combined dot over 4 seconds. There are a lot more of those Crazy ideas. For the Rogues, the Problem with Sword speccs are, that there is no way anything gets close to the Combopoint Generation and damage of Mutilate. I had something in mind like:“Sabre Slash no deals 130% Weapon DamageSabre Slash no longer stacks.Sabre Slash no longer refreshes itself.Whenever a Target is hit by Sabre Slash, while it has the Sabre Slash Bleed, it gets hit by another Sabre Slash for x% effectiveness.“.This way, Rogues Sabre Slash would generate similar amounts of CP, since the bonus hit still grants CP, deals a lot more damage to compete with Mutilate and would also be viable with the Assa Tree as well as the Combat Tree.Assa, because of the synergies with Poisons and Seal Fate (Each Crit would generate additional CP) and Combat of course because of the additional dmg increases for Sinkster Strike. In addition: Maybe think about granting the Rogue an AoE Aura, as long as he uses Fleshwound and has Slice and Dice AND Bladedance active. Maybe even only after Shuriken Toss is used.No DPS Rogue would sacrifice 4 Runeslots for a little AoE, while Tanks would at least be able to keep threat from Healers in AoE situations.
Warlock main here. Been loving SoD. Fantastic job, devs. Thanks for your open communication and humility. I know Aggrend’s post isn’t about locks, but here goes: It would be cool if the Soul Siphon rune felt more viable. The rune is a fantastic idea, but it isn’t powerful enough to compete with master channeler. It would be awesome if affliction could compete with destruction on single target for a change, and I think adjusting Soul Siphon could be the answer. I’m sure the concern with buffing Soul Siphon is the heightened self healing, but why not reduce the healing or even make it deal a small percentage of damage to the warlock (goes with the warlock rot class fantasy)? And if we want to get crazy creative, instead of just buffing the damage modifier on dots, maybe it could increase their ticking speed and/or decrease the cast time of your next non-instant Shadow Bolt. Or maybe apply a stacking slow with each tick. Without the increased healing, this rune could serve as a single target burst option and a cool way to add something to the rotation. I’m thinking of something like Oblivion (retail pvp talent) with a cool additional effect. Thanks for attending my Tedtalk
