What sort of crash? Does it just crash to the desktop or do you get an error message?

We're still trying to narrow this problem down. As best as we can figure it has something to do with the firewall/antivirus/network settings on your system. We're trying to figure out a way to duplicate it on our end, since there's no chance we're telling people to turn off their Internet security software.

Exact same problem is also happening to me. Finding this exceptionally frustrating. Any update on fixing this issue would be appreciated.

I'm having the same problem, but in an attempt to be more helpful I thought I'd point out that I'm running Windows XP Pro. and I already made an exception in my firewall just for the WoWHead Client. Is there a possibility that the uploader is attempting to use ports that It may not have permissions to though the router?

It has something to do with the AVG Link Scanner. When you disable this part of AVG the upload runs smooth. I think it is the active Surf-Shield that blocks it from uploading.
Anyway if you have this problem, and have AVG, disable you link scanner and then turn it back on again when your finished whith uploading.

Disabling any kinds of protection software is a %^&*ty solution when Wowhead client is allowed to access the Web by this software. I cannot leave my computer unguarded even for a second.
I've had the 2% problem for two months now on my Windows 7 64 Ultimate. Since then the client has been updated once but nothing has changed. For the moment I have disabled the addon and don't touch the client.
I am using Outpost Firewall Pro 2009.

Thanks, fixed it for me as well. Surf Shield is in the Link Scanner section, for anyone is looking for it :)
Thank you for the suggestion. This was frustrating me to no end, but this did the trick. Thank you!
