15.77 haste rating = 1% haste at level 70.
haste rating / 15.77 = % haste.

If you have more than one haste bonus, add them together, do not multiply them. Only the hunter's Serpent's Swiftness talent, improved Aspect of the Hawk talent, and the quiver bonus are multiplicative. For example:

(27 + 37 + 37 + 27 + 31) / 15.77 = 10.08 % haste

To calculate your attack speed:

WeaponSpeed / (SerpentsSwiftness * ImpHawk * QuiverBonus * TotalHasteBonus) = AttackSpeed

For hunter with 3.1 sec Gladiator's Heavy Crossbow, 20% speed increase from Serpent's Swiftness, 15% speed increase from quiver, 15% from Improved Hawk proc, and the gear listed above:

3.1 / (1.2 * 1.15 * 1.15 * 1.1008) = 1.775 second attack speed

With normal lag, this may be past the limit at which you can still thread a steady shot between auto shots.

Note that haste will increase your WHITE damage auto shot dps. It does not directly increase the damage from any of your special attacks. However, it can potentially allow you to put more special attacks into the same period of time, thereby increasing the overal dps of your special attacks.

That said, there is the danger that your haste rating gets so high that you are no longer able to efficiently thread special shots between each auto shot. At what speed this happens will be different for every person, as it depends a lot on your lattency. For instance, if your attack speed is hasted to 1.75 sec, but due to lag your steady shots are causing a delay in your auto shots such that you are getting an auto shot every 1.85 sec, then you are wasting about 5.7% haste, or roughly 90 points of haste rating. That is a lot of lost itemization points.

Auto Shot have always had a 0,5 sec "hidden" cast, this was discovered by lactose long time ago, and does infact (as of WoW 2.0) state that in the Auto Shot toolip.

Your auto shot should however never go below 1,5 - That will cause interupts in the rotation and missed GCDs, and thus actually losing dps, rather than earning anything.

And not to forget Steady is affected by hastes aswell, so you can indeed easily go below 2.0 auto shot speed without trouble.
Just with quiver on steady fires at 1,5 / 1,15 = 1.30 cast time.

also if your bm specced keep in mind that kill command's set the 0.5 sec cast on auto shot back, and that haste rating decreases casting time on steady shot also so it doesnt really matter since you have more or less the same time to pop the kill command without delaying too much.

Nice PvE gloves for hunters, a good piece without hit, since hunters can reach their 5% cap rather easy.

Droped from the first boss in Black Temple. Its like T6 hunter gear, but in brown.

Wtf stop with hunter bashin yh? we dont all ACTUALLY need on everything mail, but there are some things that are obviously made for hunters, this included. But i will say that it would benifit a sham an awfull lot to, but most raid guilds wud give it to a hunter..

The thing is, most hunters assume that because it has agi, stam, and int as its primary stats, that it is only hunter gear. But how many pieces of Enhancement specific gear drops? Not a lot. I play an Enhancement shaman, and crit is a main thing i look for. I don't need mad AP, i need crit and +hit. So the battle will forever continue with hunter vs shaman when it comes to rolling for gear. I think these gloves coupled with drakefist or its tier upgrades would friggin rock, and add flurry into the picture and you are boosting an enhancement shamans dps rather significantly.

I won't say this is shaman only...and i won't say its hunter only. But if both have the DKP and want to roll against each other..there should be no sour grapes as to who wins because it will be increasing the raids overall dps no matter which class wins them.

Stop bickering over what gear is meant for who. thats like saying a warlock can't roll on spell damage gear over a mage. its silly. both classes can use the item effectively.

I think the main problem is that there's no mail drops with strength, so melee shamans have to wear Tier gear or "hunter" armor parts.
If in my guild the hunters gave me (shammy) preference to loot the tier i would be pleased to not roll on "hunter" items like these in BT. But as warrior tanks have it i get drop gear like this or leather.
