Very cool design, one of the better models I've seen so far for the Crusade loot table (Horde). The Alliance version is Justicebringer for 25 man normal I believe.

This weapon is designed for MELEE PLATE WEARERS. Period. all 3 classes need to have equal shots at this wepon because all 3 are going to get alot of use out of it.

you all sound like a bunch of hunters...is that something you want to be?

The only plate melee that doesn't get all the benefits from this axe is unholy DPS DK. Why all that ArP Blizzard? Sigh.. the only skill unholy DPS can use ArP for is bloodstrike... GZ

The argument is hardly moot on that point. While it is part of your dps it is as not as much or even close to the spell damage amount. I could even place a fair wager that a Warrior's white damage would be higher then yours and ours gets shrugged off as well. White damage is what you do in-between your rotation that is the same for me as it you and a Warrior will do more white damage then a ret Paladin period.

Actually I can easily say what I said and then go with you know nothing about a Warrior and its abilities if you think top end damage means nearly the same for a Warrior as it does for you. Almost everything we have is based around the top end damage of a weapon and then added to by the ability. So a good weapon can quite literally make or break an arms warrior. While a ret paladin? It will aid you but it won't even come close to making or breaking you.

I named two weapons in my other post and I can name a couple from Ulduar near that weapons dps without any armor penetration as well if you desire. They come from hard modes in ten man and the twenty five man. One is even a sword which is worthless to a Warrior but great for a ret Paladin or a Death Knight.

The simple fact is it still comes down to the loot master in a pug and I highly doubt there are that many for the 25 man that do well even if it is easy. Especially when they hit the pvp fight and none for the heroic version as even decent guilds are wrestling with the first boss. A loot council that knows its classes will not put you on the top of that list and a smart dkp guild will put class restrictions first as to best gear the raid for further content. Unless they just don't care which is also possible. So I highly doubt you will be rolling on it in any raid against any so called -scrub- Warriors. Send a tell maybe but I bet the council or dkp group smirks.

Best in slot still stands for what I said and that proves you did not read my post at all but instead went right to your own opinion that you believe is right. Regardless of anything that I may or may not put forth. Best in slot items are the best they can get for the slot and the class receives good use of all stats on the item regardless of its armor class. Which I never implied it had to be plate, leather, erc. The Betrayer of Humanity while it did not have strength straight up on it? The agility was not useless for others trying to use it while in this case armor penetration is useless to a Paladin and only a bad one will stack it in any form or say it does have good use for one. I stand by what I said and I pull my opinions from many sources and players of a class. I don't let just one in all the world of WoW make my opinions for me.

I also find it funny that only ret Paladins that toss words around like scrub have come to comment. While yet no other knowledgeable person has come to say anything in your defense? Such as someone that plays two classes equally and so forth who can also prove they do as well. That really doesn't sound very reliable to me.

You keep saying ArP is "useless" for rets which is not the case. It is less than optimal but not useless. CS, DS as well as our auto attacks all deal physical damage. ArP is way low on the priority list for ret but this weapon having doesn't dismiss it as a great ret weapon. This still remains the top dps weapon in game and weapon dps is huge for ret. SoV, in addition to the 2 spells linked above will make over 60% of a ret's dmg and all of that scales greatly with weapon dps. My point is one stat doesn't mean a class should have to pass on an item especially when there is nothing better.

This isn't exactly something new. All the way from Naxx, our BiS list has always included items with ArP on it. Even our T9 Chest has ArP on it but a ret pally having it on doesn't mean they're bad. Its a matter of the item being better REGARDLESS of the ArP on it than anything else available. There is NO better alternative to this. Plz stop linking Ulduar drops as alternatives.

This axe for Arms Warriors is pretty much the best thing you can get before hitting any heroic modes or tribute runs. It has the perfect stats. (I am not saying it is bad for other class / specs, only inputting my expertise as Arms)

Strength - Win!
Crit - Win!
ArP - Win!
Socket - Win!
High DPS - Win!
Slower Speed (not sure if that even matters that much anymore) - Win!
Axe so it's good for Poleaxe spec - Win!
Axe so it's expertise for Orcs (which I play) - Win!
Decent, yet somewhat newer model (however, looks somewhat like the Brutal Glad Axe) - Win!

I don't see anything wrong with this at all. Better than Edge of Ruin and you know that everyone and mother wants the weapon since it's so easy to get.

Bottom line:
This Weapon is Win!

Boggles the mind, an excellent DPS weapon with the worst gem socket color possible, a badly thought out blue socket. And to top things off, it also taunts us with the +4 strength socket bonus just to rub salt into the itemization wound.

I don't know any warrior on my server (or any other server if you check the wowhead profiles to see who has this axe equipped) who gemmed a blue or purple gem on it so to see the reasoning behind this selection would be immensely interesting.

For that blue gem, i used a nightmare tear so i could use my meta gem Relentless Earthsiege Diamond, im a fury warrior, so it is possible to use the blue gem, just saying

I logged onto the MoP beta tonight, and did the first round of Pandaria introductory quests, horde side. As a retribution paladin, the first quest rewards an axe with this same graphic, transmoggable, lets pray it stays with that graphic.
