What makes the lack of additional Hunter roles more ridiculous despite the fact they're the only one is that a sufficiently geared vanilla hunter can already tank just fine - I MT all of MC on my T2 Hunter, just need some + threat runes for melee abilities. For 5 man's I could MT using Herod's Axe and wingclip spam for the proc to hold aggro. My armour, HP and avoidance was at about the same level as a Warrior tank I just didn't have shield block - 8500 Armour, 45% dodge, 10% Parry, Deterrence and Readiness - throw on some tank trinkets and it was fine even for harder hitting stuff like Golemagg. But once again Hunters are the redheaded step child.
Guys, I can`t believe this flies over so many heads.Beast Mastery: Your pet`s damage and health is increased by 30%, and it`s Focus regeneration by 80%. In addition, your pet`s Growl now also Taunts the target to attack it for 3 sec. This is a proper taunt. Think about it, now bears and turtles are gonna be viable tanking pets, meaning, hunter will be able to tank.
I could imagine a mage tank before a mage healer, but I'm honestly interested in seeing how this do this! Also they should remove tanking from warriors because that would be funny!
Can't be a hubter tank... not playing then
Well after suggesting Mage healer(using time magic) and Warlock tank well over a decade now, they're finally going through with it. Also a Big LOL to all the Haters who attacked me over it back then.Didn't expect Rogue tank though(and looks to be very strong), Shaman Tank was given.
So a good pet tank cannot tank at least dungeons but they put Mage Healerand Rogue tank which is no sense.I really don't like the idea of mage healer and rogue tank
This looks really cool and amazing. It's just too bad that rampant toxicity will cause it to be a no go after the first season, I can see it now"Lfm BFD 2k gs min. Link "explore azeroth" or ban.
These specs will probably invalidate Paladin and Warrior tanks due to being able to do DPS class damage while tanking
Ah yes the warlock tank runes are... checks image... 3 glove runes. Thanks for that
You missed hunter tank.
I'm not against the idea of this whole rune system. But providing Rogues with tank abilities, Mage with healing abilities, etc. It has me slightly worried. We have to wait and see how this all turns out. But I don't fancy the idea of players attempting to pressure a Mage into healing due to a lack of healers. Pushing Rogues into tanking because of the lack of tanks, etc. Hopefully, it won't turn out like this. One thing I love about Vanilla Classic is how every class feels very unique. Want to summon people? You have to grab a Warlock. Want food, water or portals? Got to get a Mage, etc. I fear some of these runes might end up removing some of this. Most of these runes seem very powerful. You can only have three activated. At the time, which is good, but I'm interested in seeing how the content feels when you suddenly have three potent abilities added to all classes. Vanilla isn't challenging or complex by any means. But it's still slow and deliberate. I fear some of these runes might turn things more like retail, where you suddenly walk around solo, pulling 3-5 mobs like it's nothing. And giving mages healing pretty much removes their primary downside as a class in Vanilla. You can already output immense single and aoe damage. It's the "class canon" of all classes. You have excellent utility, survivability via kitting and aoe farming, and great DPS overall. The one thing you need to worry about as a mage is not having the mobs hit you, as you can't sustain damage. With healing abilities, it looks like a mage gets the same benefit as you have levelling a priest. Your sustain is excellent, and you'll rarely die. But whereas the priest has to deal with the fact that their DPS is poor, making you sacrifice efficiency for sustainability, it looks like mages get it both ways.
