I'm so looking forward to this. Had my authenticator since they added it and never took it off. I wonder how many slots we'll be getting...even if it's only 4 I'll be happy.
Finally, my smallest bag is getting an upgrade. :feelsgood:
Finally, I've been always suffering with bag space
Already made several of my guildies, who are always complaining about bag space (and because of whom I had to run back to dead bosses, because when I master-looted items for them they didn't get it because of full bags) install the mobile authenticator
Who doesn't have an authenticator already?
This is great news! Despite whatever changes they've made thus far (void storage, appearance tab, reagent bank, larger stack sizes), bag space still continues to be my biggest woe.
Another nice little bonus for having the authenticator, as well as my adorable little corehound! Extra bag slots can never be a bad thing
I have the original physical one. Very surprised it still works after all this time. Probably well over 7-8 yrs now I've had it. I keep losing it on my desk but I have it!
Great way to promote the authenticator and increase account security of a lot more accounts in the process.
If you get/have an authenticator, WRITE DOWN THE SERIAL NUMBER. this goes for physical or mobile authenticators. If you lose it, this number can be used to unlock your account again after a call to blizzard service. I tried the mobile authenticator way back when it first released, factory reset my phone, and didn't have the ID number for the authenticator. I was still able to unlock my account by answering a series of questions about my characters and such, but the serial number dramatically streamlines the process.
About freaking time! Thanks Blizz!
FINALLY!
Snall upgrades, big impacts... for people who do not want to spend gold on big bags.
I've had physical authenticator since Wrath, there was no mobile one when I got it and I never bothered switching. Tbh, I think it's amazing this thing STILL works, all the years since. And damn, it's time for the default bag upsize. Since most bags these days are 20 or 30 slotters, I'd expect that for the default backpack size. Alternatively, they could make it flex - get 16 slots at start, do x levels to get 4 slots more, and so on - make it a reward for leveling your toon. Always nice, even if you can skip it by just buying insta-100 boost or some such. However, I'd REALLY like if Devs learned not to clutter our bags completely needlessly. To give a few examples, I now carry Regular hearthstone, Garrison hearthstone, Garrison shipyard compass, Dalaran hearthstone, Guild cloak (acts as Orgrimmar hearthstone), Brawler's ring (acts as Brawler's Arena hearthstone), Argent crusader's tabard - these are JUST hearthstones, and we're already at 7 slots.I admit, I could toss regular hearthstone since recently I got an archeology toy that replaces it.But the rest? COME ON DEVS, these things should have been first in line for conversion into bloody toys. And only in Legion, devs effing keep adding to this mess - the mana-whatever stone which puts suramar nodes on your map should have been a toy that requires 110, has like 1min CD, and puts 1hr buff on you. That buff is even already there in game! And the Stormheim Grapple Launcher? Bloody same! Instead of a physical item, if you don't want to check every player entering zone for flag on quest completion, just bloody give us a toy with a buff we need to apply to use grapples - done, and one less useless piece of garbage in bags. Although long-term, I'd prefer we all just got the rogue's grapple as baseline ability, and please leave us to our explorations, since you insist on periodically taking flight away. There are also things where devs don't seem to think holistically. Say, fishing rods - you don't really need them, unless you want the baits. But then, they could at least make them useful warlock-style. Warlocks could once customize the look of their demon by carrying a weapon for them in their bags. Why not at least make the default rod look like the one in my bags, if I carry one?
Finally! Bag space is so precious.
Finally!
I think it's going to be time to get an authenticator, then!Still slightly annoyed that such a QoL feature is locked behind it, though. It should of just stayed with the core hound pup.
hope the bag space gets alot bigger than what it currently is
