It'll be nice to see. It's been a gamemode on a couple of servers on Dofus, a French MMORPG, for about 15 years. Let's see what restrictions it brings beyond the no death side of things.
What happened to 'ironman'? When did 'hardcore' become a thing?
I searched “hardcore” and “wow” and Google’s algorithm gave me back a very different set of results than the data minings.
Let's gooo!
please make them pvp servers. PLEASE!
Dude what if they brought back the Mage Tower artifact appearances for completing a Hardcore run?
This might be in part Diablo 4 PR for upcoming release. Hardcore mode is engrained in that community. Infact Diablo 2 might be the first time I played or heard of hardcore in any game.
Here me out!How cool would it be if in hardcore servers they made it so you drop a tombstone when you die. And players can click the tombstone and pops up a window (like any other interactive note) that says the players name and what level they died at.To avoid people exploiting it or trolling, make it so a tombstone can only drop once every 24 hours per account, and have a level 15 min requirement. Give them like a 48 hour duration or make them permanent, but with a zone cap.
Hardcore mode/servers are yet another thing Blizzard said Would Never Happen. And now they're happening.
