I agree, anyone using their free time to play is doing it wrong. Should definitely be work time.
Anyone else disappointed they didn't show what actually dropped in the video or in the article? Had to search the given twitter accounts to find out that at least the mount dropped for one of them.
Umm, so it's a videogame? That doesn't make a first like this any less meaningful. LoL is becoming so popular it's been considered for the olympics. That's a video game last I checked, right? This isn't a server first, it's a world first. So that's news as it's the first time it's ever been accomplished in the entire world. Ofc this isn't as substantial as many other world firsts, but can you say that you're the first person that has had enough focus, dedicated 472 wipes worth of your time and suffered through the frustration to down that content? Because if not, which is the answer, you just sound MSG levels of salty. People funded a dude over 1000$ to buy a freakin' chipotle burrito on kickstarter and you're complaining that they put up an advertisement for Method lol? If you want to get into stupid things to complain about there's far more idiotic topics at your disposal geared towards people who have accomplished far less than a world first on a seriously difficult boss. Not sure about you, but it doesn't take a genius to figure out the gaming industry is becoming one of the most lucrative in the world if you're top tier like Method is. Again going back to LoL, the amount of money that goes into players, their teams, travel, tournaments, training, so on and so forth is stupid levels of ridiculous if you're looking at it as 'just a game'. But 'just a game' has become one of the most competitive and most viewed sports in the world signaling there is a change happening that, no, things like this aren't just a game anymore and they -do- have substance and merit. As technology progresses and gaming moves more and more into the VR realm, the gaming presence in sports is only going to increase and things like this are only going to have more and more meaning. Sadly, we're a society based on technology nowadays and even if you, personally, are not the environment around you is and will continue to be and shows no sign of slowing down. If people can donate to a dude to buy a chipotle burrito, then obviously there are people that will buy a 25$ shirt to commemorate a world first. It just won't be you. And if it's not you, and not your 25$, shut the hell up and stop complaining about it.TL:DR? World firsts are world firsts. Let them celebrate without your negativity.
