"as an escape of the unpleasant things that reality can bring". I really like this statement! Compared to Wow that has gone in the wrong direction when they are bringing in politics into the game with BLM-statements and other stuff that shouldn't be in a fantasy game.
Blizzard is dead... all hail the Dreamhaven
Who cares, so the rumors were true he left Blizzard to make another game company, good luck but it didn't end well for other ex-blizzard people... just to mention a few studios that had ex-Blizzard developers, Runic games, Molten games, Flagship Studios...shudders, En Masse! Anyway, this maybe the last we here of Mike Morhaime... maybe not!
I can imagine many Blizz employees are making for the exits, at least the ones who did not already know about this and have offers. Make no mistake, this will negatively impact Blizz a company known for its low pay even for the game industry.
And again. Activision has NEVER acquired Blizzard (closer to the opposite indeed), stop spread BS please.No, I won't. I might not be so on with the legalese details, but the point is factual; the old guard Blizzard execs that we revere, sold their control to the market over a decade before the Vivendi/Activision merger. It's hardly even Activision's fault either. These are all publicly traded companies whose true obligations are to return profits for shareholders, not make good games.
well lets see waht they do. looking forward to it.
This statement says a lot"We’re almost trying to create a haven for creators who want an environment that is development friendly, values product, and player experience over short-term financial pressures."
I'll be keeping an eye on it for sure. Good luck to the team. :)
This is brilliant! I will follow their games closely, hopefully their company values will result in high quality games instead of rushed products with a deadline set by shareholders.
Sounds good, I'm looking forward to hear more about their first product, but I guess that's a long road ahead of us.Cool, they already have Twitter account, so it will be easy to stay in touch for any news.
I am incredibly excited to see this! I wish him and his team the best of luck!Am I allowed to say we might see an actual WoW killer this time?
Cool but meh. I'm invested in WoW/Fallout 76/GW2.
Wow, this is awesome and sounds a lot like old Blizzard.
Makes me wonder why the big names behind all the success stories there "retired"
Blizz really lost their soul when they sold out to Activision. I hope that wherever it's ex-employees go, they won't be mismanaged and sold off to souless companies again.
Dreamhaven -> Activision Blizzard
The key art is pretty nice.
Good for them. I'm glad they're able to continue doing what they're passionate about, minus the corporate shackles. I wish them the best, and it will be interesting to see where they're at in another 10 years or so compared to Blizz :)
I just hope they will pay their staff better than Acti/Blizz does.
