Patch 6.2.2a Hotfixes (Sept 15 - 17) and Notes: Archaeology Digsites Fixed
Patch 6.2.2a went live today, featuring some hotfixes and bugfixes. Most notably, Archaeology digsites are now fixed. Previously, they looked like this:
But as of today, they are back to their normal shapes and can be completed.

Patch 6.2.2 Hotfixes Week of September 1st - 4th
The first batch of hotfixes are up for 6.2.2. Most importantly,
Raid Finder Archimonde
has received numerous nerfs.
In addition, there are changes to
Gorefiend
and
Fel Lord Zakuun
, as well as the removal of the mighty
Bloodfang Grub
from Gorgrond.

Bonus Events

6.2.2 PTR: Build 20438 and 20444 Spell Changes and More
Time for a new 6.2.2 PTR build! Patch 6.2.2 is tentatively scheduled for September 1st, and will add Flying to Draenor, more Timewalking rewards, and PvP Mercenary mode.

One major change is that the proposed buffs to Arcane Torrent and War Stomp added last week have been reverted in this build.
An additional small build went up on Wednesday, August 26th.

Savage Satchel of Cooperation, awarded for completing a class role that's in demand through Dungeon Finder or Raid Finder received a boost to its contents.
Increased the amount of gold awarded by over 200%!
The satchel now has a chance for additional Baleful tokens, Empowered Apexis Fragment, and Medallion of the Legion.

Omnus's Singularity damage can now be reduced by damage reduction effects on Raid Finder difficulty.

Gamescom Round Up: Friday August 7th
Gamescom continued today with the Hearthstone and Heroes of the Storm panels! Below we have summarized the info from those panels, we well as new World of Warcraft: Legion and Diablo 3 information released today. We learned today that Demon Hunters will start above level 90 and that there are no weapon drops in Legion--you'll just have your Artifact weapon!
6.2.1 PTR: Build 20363 Mercenary Mode Enabled
The latest build for the 6.2.1 PTR is here--you can test Flying in Draenor and PvP Mercenary Mode on the test realms. It's a very small PTR build and it mainly looks like Mercenary Mode is enabled. Read more about Mercenary Mode

Ashran Tour of Duty
: You are on a tour of duty in Ashran. If you leave before this tour completes, you will be unable to enter Ashran for some time.
Recreant
: You left Ashran before completing your tour of duty and must wait before entering again.
Q2 2015 Results: WoW Down to 5.6 Million Subscribers
Activision Blizzard released their second quarter 2015 results today, and
World of Warcraft is at 5.6 million subscribers
, down 1.5 million from the Q1 2015 earnings report. While these numbers are quite low by recent standards, numbers should be bouncing back up with the

Blizzard Entertainment had the largest online player community in its history, with Q2 MAUs up 50% year-over-year. Though World of Warcraft® ended the quarter at 5.6 million subscribers, Blizzard revenues are up year-over-year based on strong performance across the expanding Blizzard portfolio. On June 23, 2015, Blizzard Entertainment released, Fury of Hellfire, one of the largest non-expansion content updates to date for World of Warcraft. This new content helped stabilize the subscriber number towards the end of the quarter. World of Warcraft remains the No. 1 subscription‐based MMORPG in the world.
In the Q2 slide presentation, Fury of Hellfire was credited was stabilizing the subscriber base in the last few weeks of the quarter. Patch 6.2.1 was also mentioned as a draw for players due to the addition of Flying, as well as PvP mercenary mode.

The first round of Patch 6.2 hotfixes for the week of August 3rd are up.
Notably,

is a bit easier to counter, and the bonus roll loot tables for

on LFR difficulty are no longer swapped.
The second round of hotfixes includes a buff to the legendary tanking ring
