Introducing Wowhead Class Guides
Class information is a crucial resource for boosted 90 players and alts. Here at Wowhead we try to build tools and present data in the best possible way to help players, and since class gameplay lends itself well to guides, we've launched a new Class Guide section!
Click here to check out our new class guides!
These guides are in the style of our popular guides written by Wowhead staff, such as our holiday and patch guides. We've asked a number of raiders and bloggers, many of which were familiar faces at WoW Insider, to write guides aimed towards beginners. We've aimed for brevity, to give you just the core facts you need to get started, without bogging you down with hugely detailed strategies.
The guides include everything you need to get started:
Spells: core abilities, rotations and priority systems, self buffs, utility, CC and more
Talents: basic builds and optimal choices for different situations
Glyphs: the most popular choices and options for different contexts

News Roundup: Siege of Orgrimmar Normal/Heroic Cross-Realm Raids, Hotfixes and F2P Heroes
As well as these changes, we've got the latest hotfixes and the new free-to-play hero set in Heroes of the Storm: We've recently implemented an often requested feature to enable cross-realm raiding for
Siege of Orgrimmar
. Cross-realm BattleTag™ and Real ID friends can now raid together and take the fight to

Reins of the Kor'kron War Wolf
or the title of Conqueror/
Liberator of Orgrimmar
; both of which aren't available to be earned within Flexible or Raid Finder difficulty. This change is currently live.Correct -- current-tier Mythic raiding in Warlords will still be limited to players from a single server. In the meantime, though, this change may help guilds that are trying to recruit and grow in preparation for Mythic raiding. As for realm firsts, realm firsts are guild achievements; you need to be in a guild group, which is by definition 8/10 or 20/25 members coming from a single guild on a single server. You could theoretically have a couple of guests from a different server and still claim the realm first, but ultimately 80% of the group still has to be from the

Dev Watercooler: Building Healthy Gameplay and Healing Changes
Following last week's blog on
Design Philosophy in Warlords of Draenor
, Blizzard just posted a followup blog covering player health. We're also adding in tweets below the blog from the
Blue Tweet Tracker
which add information to the blog.
A goal of Warlords is to tone down the raw thoroughput of heals. Players will not always be at 100% health, creatures will be stronger, and better gear will not cause scaling to spiral out of control.
The number of instant-cast heals is being reduced, a list of spells being changed is given in the blog.
Damage-absorption abilities are being toned down, as they can take the place of direct healing if they are too strong.
The healing from auto-targeted or passive heals will be greatly reduced and slightly less smart to make the healing experience more interactive.
Low-throughput, low-mana-cost heals like Nourish and Holy light are being removed, since they don't really add depth to gameplay.
Multi-target heals will be less mana-efficient to strike a better balance between single and multi t

New Site Feature: Blue Tweet Tracker
The
World of Warcraft
team has really embraced Twitter this past expansion--it's led to a lot of great interactions between the players and those working on the game.
However, it's easy to lose track of conversations quickly or sort out the important tweets from the conversational ones, so we've built a
Blue Tweet Tracker
to make things easier!
By default, you'll see tweets from developers and community members
designated by Blizzard as official accounts
. Using the menu at the right, you can customize it further:
You can choose to only see significant tweets, which are marked as important by Wowhead staff. Important announcements from
@Warcraft
or WoD information like the new racials would be considered significant.
To avoid clutter, we've hidden conversations that are one-on-one replies since they may be more personal or incidental. If you want to see all of a user's tweets though, there's an option to do so. Sometimes Blizzard devs include useful information in conversations, so it's good to enable both "Show @ replies" and "Show significant tweets."[/l

MoP Digital Deluxe Edition Retiring Soon, Official List of Warlords Racials
Blizzard just posted an official list of new racial abilities coming in Warlords of Draenor. Several of these were
described on Twitter by developers
last week, but it's good to see them expanded in a blog post where there's not a 140 character limit!
Racials were changed for several reasons--some were just overpowered, while others would be made obsolete by the removal of Hit and Expertise in Warlords.
The Mists of Pandaria digital deluxe edition is also retiring soon--no sooner than March 10th. With the
Digital Deluxe Edition
, you can get StarCraft portraits, a special Diablo sigil and banner, and most importantly,
Imperial Quilen
and
Lucky Quilen Cub

New Racials and Warlords of Draenor Dev Watercooler: Design Philosophy
Today the Blizzard devs explain some of the design philosophies behind changes in Warlords of Draenor, with additional information on Crowd Control and Diminishing Returns changes.
Some racials are getting changed--some that have hit and expertise boosts need to be changed as those stats won't exist, and others are simply too strong.
The item squish is coming because player power has really gotten out of control--Blizzard even made handy graphs showing it!
Abilities are getting removed in Warlords to reduce complexity and bloat--some are passives, others are class-wide abilities that really should be for one spec.
There is too much Crowd Control in the game. Many CC spells are getting removed, disarms are gone, and the number of Diminishing Returns categories are reduced.
After this blog was posted, which mostly covered old information, several Blizzard devs on twitter answered questions from players--revealing new information in the process. We liveblogged the highlights and organized them here because Twitter is pretty messy for this sort of information!

Technical Game Designer Celestalon also answered more specifics about new racials on his [url=htt
