Nakresh nodded at the Orc.
"Yes, this seems prudent. I know not why Garrosh and those who he has put in power possess their positions, but it is not my place to punish or judge them. I will at least say that I do not desire the war that he strives so hard for. War is a terrible thing. I remember the Second War. I do not wish to see such death and pain ever again in my life, but this is what the Lich King does every day. The true threat is not eachother, but that which desires our mutual destruction." He said, motioning to the Alliance representatives.
"Garrosh wants war, because he has not experienced it. He has only heard of his father's legacy, and has not had the oportunity to know real suffering. I have seen children butchered before my very eyes, and that is the truth of war. Garrosh desires your destruction, and Varian himself has stated he wishes ours. It saddens me to know this. But while it is not my place to stop Garrosh, I will not let your king hurt my family."

Nakresh sighed.
"What is your reason for this... Hatred, good Wrex? The Alliance as a whole simply wishes to survive, as we do. There are certainly those who would betray us, but do not forget that we also have such warmongers."

"Aye," Doomwhisper said, speaking up from the back of the room. "After all, your Forsaken allies created the Blight and a rogue faction took control of that weapon. They, not the Alliance killed your father boy. You should get your fact's straight before you accuse everyone for the crime of one."

Nakresh shook his head sadly.
"My poor boy Wrex, you have much to learn. We are the Horde. We have accepted the Blood Elves and... Forsaken," He paused, treating the word delicately, "As our brothers. You may not agree, but if you choose to be a part of the brotherhood that is the Horde, you must treat your brothers with respect. This can be a detriment at times, as after the tragedy of the Wrathgate. We must take blame for the Forsaken's actions, but we also came to the aid of those who remained loyal, rewarding their loyalty with support. I hope that one day we may find such brotherhood in the Alliance. For although we have both seen pain and suffering at the hands of the other, we also share strength of our will and passion for life. We are not so different, Troll and Elf, Orc and Draenei. Why should we hate simply because one was chosen to be born an orc? Or a human? We all the same in spirit, and we should treat eachother as such."

((Of course it's fine. Debates, especially lke this, thrive on diversity. It'd be much less interesting if we all agreed al the time. The only thing that is required is rationality.))
Nakresh nodded slightly.
"That is your decision, then. Know that I serve the Horde, though. If you cannot accept a part of the Horde, then you reject the whole. You do not have to trust the Alliance or the Horde, but at least you must agree that war is undesireable, yes?"

"Not if we can stop it," Nakresh answered, "It does not have to happen. It is in this hope that we speak now. A good word can save a thousand lives."

The Burning Legion and Scourge cannot be reasoned with. The Alliance can. That is the difference," Nakresh answered. "Tell me, good Wrex, why do you hate the Alliance?"

Nakresh scowled, concealing his anger.
"And what became of your father, do you wish that for your son? I want a world without war. Without pain. Without killing. I want a world where human and orc live together, able to go past the color of one's skin. War is a terrible thing, and I do not wish that for my children."

"Put the weapon away child, or the guards." Doomwhisper said, pointing at the Kirin Tor mages and the Silver Covenant and Sunreaver members all around the room, "Will put them away for you and toss you out on your butt."

Character:
Korok Thunderfist
General:
Orc warrior, age 42.
Suddenly an orc who had remained silent at the back of the room stands-up and thunders the head of his massive two-handed axe on the floor loud enough to draw attention away from Wrex and his impending expulsion. "Young troll, while I agree that a death in battle is the most honorable way to die, this is not the place to... release your anger." Korok grins wickedly. "If you wish to shed the blood of the Alliance, might I suggest you head over to Lake Wintergrasp--I can personally attest to the battle to be had there." The malevolent grin fades from Korok's face being replaced by an expression of resolved discipline. "However, while you are here those swords WILL stay sheathed. Are we clear?"

((It's fine, this is half-rp half debate after all. It's mainly to allow people to see things from many different perspectives at once. :P ;) ))
Nakresh sighed.
"Death in battle is glorious, yes. But that battle should be in defense of the helpless, the good, not in a pointless war against them. I hope that my death may come in battle against the Burning Legion, or the Old Gods, or fighting another threat to my people's lives, not because of pointless hatred and warmongering. I stood shoulder to shoulder with good, honourable humans and night elves at the Battle of Mount Hyjal. It was there that my father met his glorious end. He gave his life to keep out world safe, just and many, many more like him did. He embraced peace with the humans, and laid the foundations of a new and safe world for us. Shall we spit on his grave and burn away all that those people died for? Look at the elves, for instance. They were once our enemies, but now we have accepted them as allies. Why cannot the whole world understand this forgiveness? There are many resources on this world, and if we could learn to share them, we would not need to kill. I do not ask this for myself. I ask it for my children. Why should we fight when peace is so close?"
