This guide is made of awesome and win!
Started leveling a priest last Tuesday (March 16th) and I'm level 42 now!
Thanks a lot for making this!

Very fast, very efficient. Nicely done! It's quite awesome being able to take backup healing when the healer gets downed from a stray mob when you're dpsing an instance.

I know this is probably a stupid question but I'm new to WoW.
What skills should I learn? I'm level 11 and I have Power Word: Shield, Smite(rank 2) and Renew.
I'm not sure what other skills I need.

Chiv
In WoW, you absolutely must learn each and every rank of every spell you ever get.
They cost next to nothing anyway, and it's not like you need gold on those low levels anyway, with spells and Riding the only exceptions.
Learn mining and skinning, dump your ore and leather on the AH, and you have more gold than you ever need until 70.

So I should learn every skill available to me? even the skills from the shadow tree? I have Mining and Herb and its made me about 150 gold so far, so I'm happy with them :)
Thanks for your help, your guide is amazing :)
PS: what level does this build start to shine? I'm level 12 and I've died a good few times.

Not meaning to be rude, but your first question was answered in my previous post, and your second one is answered in the original guide. :p
You shouldn't die, even at level 12. If you are dying, it means one of 3 things:
You are pulling too many mobs at once (at these levels, one is optimal);
You are neglecting shielding yourself;
Or you are trying mobs well above your level. Avoid them.
And your wand is your best friend. Use it.

It's not really a "build" yet at lvl 12. And everything that Chiv said above...

I'm 25 now and I don't see how this build has ''Unlimited mana'' its a really good build but I have to stop and drink after about 4 mobs, and I did respec.

No build will ever give *truly* unlimited mana to a mana-based class.
However, 4 mobs sounds underwhelming. An armory link could be helpful.

Thats my armory.

Judging by this armory, it looks like your main issues are:
DPS too low to down mobs in 3-4 casts max
Spirit too low to replenish the mana consumed by excessive amounts of damaging spells
Well, it's not *extreme*, but still, too much Stamina and too low Spirit and SP.
I did notice you had your fishing pole on instead of your weapon. However, having more Stamina bonuses than you have to Spirit and Intellect is not handy. And why take "filler" talents in the Holy tree instead of % holy crit that contributes to your DPS? When questing, you spend the majority of your time killing mobs, not healing yourself. And even then, if you *do* have to heal something, the holy crit works for that, too.

If I go by this specc, how long will
Zum'rah's Vexing Cane
with the 20+ spirit enchant last? I'm debating whether it's worth spending 35G on or not
Post by
Chiv
IMO it's not worth enchanting any non-heirlooms, as none will last long "enough" to justify any gold spent.
And even if I were to enchant my staff, no way in hell would that be +20 Spirit. :D

I actually thought that talent was worthless, thanks for the advice :)
My staff has +15 spirit on it, I had my fishing pole on because I was fishing when I posted my armory.

I only wish I paid more attention the first time I saw this guide :(
Now that I actually have a priest to level, it seems wowhead is tweaking something with the links and I can't see the actual builds you constructed.. :(
Post by
Chiv
Erm, I just clicked the links in the OP and everything has worked.
Maybe it was a temporary issue. Try again, and if it doesn't work, then it has to be something with your browser.

Hrm, seems something is definitely amiss here then.
I even tried copying one of the links into my freshly installed IE8 (
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#bZ0xhZh:u
) and all I got was
http://www.wowhead.com/talent
instead....
Maybe I better see if Mozilla has something different to say about this then.
Apparently, it does :D, glad I can see the proper specs again and thanks again for a great guide Chiv :)
