well, in this post I'll cover 2 diferent points (since I don't wanna open 2 posts at the same time, I'll cover both in one)
Point A: need info on sartharion and archavon.
ever since vainilla-wow, raids are filled with lore, wheter is old lore(Ragnaros) Ret-conned lore, or fresh-new lore (An'quiraj)
same goes for Burning crusade.
I mean, we always knew who we where killing and why, (from a gameplay point of view, we kill c'tchun cuz we want epics, but from a lore point of view, the "adventurers" kill him cuz he's an old god that wants to take over the world)
now that WOTLK has came out, I've found that some raids have ZERO lore on them, I mean, naxxramas has plenty of lore, we know who keltuzad is, and why we want to kill him.
plenty of lore was provided for eye of the eternity with the whole "Nexus War" thingie, and Ulduar was also pretty rich in lore with pretty much the entire storm-peaks and a big chunk of grizzlie hills having a crapload of quests to fill you in with lore on who inhabits ulduar, and why do you want to kill them.
but no info whatsoever has been given about sartharion and archavon.
who is archavon? why do we want to kill him? (again, from a gameplay point of view, we kill him for free epicz, but from lore, why would the adventurers want to kill that guy or emalon?)
who is sartharion? what's his plan? why if the black dragons are part of the wyrmrest accord and even have an embassador and we work for them in the obsidian shrine, now do we invade their sanctum to kill one of their own?.
we had solid reasons to kill nefarian and onixya, plenty of lore was given on their motivations, and the reason why we want them dead, but for sarthrarion nothing has been given.
these 2 raids have no quests to explain stuff, no lore to explain them, no epiloge or scripted sequence to detail anything after they die, not even an "introduction" quest that points us in their lairs.
so I ask, who -the- hell- are - they?

and my second question, is why did blizz added sound files to dragons disguised as mortals?
I for one find it extremely wrong to click on alextrazsa's humanoid form, and hear her say things like "the sindorei will prevail" or "you have a deathwish?" that kind of dialoge fits a blood elf perfectly, but is tottaly wrong of the queen of life.
likewise chromie was given (o my god :S) a goblin voice ! ! ! ! ! ! !
just cuz it has 1 line that says "time is money friend" we gotta hear that horrible raspy goblin voice instead of the usually sweet voice that female gnomes have.
before patch 3.1 many NPC's who'se race dialog didn't fit the faction or profile they represented where simply muted (examples are the argent crusade soldiers, or the dragons in disguise at wyrmrest temple) but after patch 3.1 they all where given the generic voice-files of their race.
I think is a mistake, they should either give those NPC's unique voices, or none at all, they where actually better without voices rather than having the wrong voices on them.
Comments anyone?

Quotes from the Sarth Fight with the Other Drakes up (not sure if you have done it or not but Ill post them here.
Call Tenebron:
Tenebron! The eggs are yours to protect as well!
Tenebron joins fight:
It is amusing to watch you struggle. Very well, witness how it is done.
Tenebron death:
I should not... have held back.
Call Shadron:
Shadron! Come to me, all is at risk!
Shadron joins fight:
I will take pity on you, Sartharion, just this once.
Shadron death:
We... are superior! How could this... be?
Call Vesperon:
Vesperon! The clutch is in danger! Assist me!
Vesperon joins fight:
Father was right about you, Sartharion, you ARE a weakling.
Vesperon death:
I still have some... fight... in me-e-e...
Just because the Black Flight has ambassadors at wyrmrest doesnt follow they actually want to help. They could have just done that to make sure they could have gotten into the Black Flight Chamber.
From what it sounds like, Sarth is one of Deathwing's childern (duh at myself), who with the Three Twilight Drakes, who would technically be his brother's as well, they are trying to set up the Twilight Flight under the noses of the Reds. Of course seeings the Obsidian Sanctum is the Black Flight Chamber I guess its not that much of a stretch. But yeah, unlike the other blackflight members, there isnt a whole lot of lore attached to them. Could be they just shoe-horned him into the game like they did with Mount Hyjal, no real point to them, but it looks really cool and epic fight wise.
As for for poor ole Archavon.....this is as closest as you get in game.
Archavon's Log
Day 3613785:
Archavon stop journal. Instead, watch puny little men fight. When they finish, Archavon wake up and see who touch orb fastest. Winners so far:
Horde:
Keep Defended: <number>
Keep Captured: <number>
Alliance:
Keep Defended: <number>
Keep Captured: <number>
Day 3613760:
At night, Archavon sneak out and collect the armor they leave behind. Archavon try to fix. Tough to do.
Day 3613725:
The little people come to Wintergrasp from across the ocean. Fight many times everyday. Archavon watch.
Day 2145617:
Large quakes outside. Little people seem to be busy. Archavon stay in home.
Day 1051213:
Archavon wake up, notice face feel soft. Not important. Go back to sleep.
Day 900500:
Been very boring outside. Archavon go to sleep. Some noises outside. it get cold.
Day 10500:
Archavon think journal borning. Take break.
Day 10:
The Makers Left. Archavon left here to watch.
And you can only see his log when your faction owns the Vault. It honestly sounds like the Watcher's are more of a guardian system that was suppose to watch the Relic but kinda failed at it.

Deathwing still has uses for his old flight, but his new Twilight Dragons are all he's really interested in.
Blizzard hasn't forgotten about Lore, hence the Alliance quests in Grizzly hills that deal with a not-fully-pronounced word (its the Scythe) and Arugal. Worgen playable race, ftw!
But ur right, a voice that fits or no voice at all in my opinion. I actually sent in a ticket about Alexstrasza's, and I personally found the Goblin voice on Chromie to be ammusing.
EDIT: and Sartharion is without doubt the start of a nice little chain of event which will lead up to the Death of Deathwing.

Curse of Flesh, to be exact.

Heh, so, seeing as with 3.2 the final wing of Vault opens up and we get a third watcher boss who seems to have no lore connected to him either.

So Archavon is basically killed because the Alliance and Horde couldn't give two ^&*!s about the Titans creating them, they just want their phat lewtz. Same reason for ingame then...
And maybe all Deathwing wants are more children? What's wrong with that? :)

Cause all of his childern, with the exception of those 2 ambassador's at wyrmrest (still think their just play acting), want to murder the world.

I doubt they were born evil and thought as a baby "lol you know what? I want to go kill everything!" They were probably influenced by their father.
I think it would be a nice twist if one of Deathwing's children killed him. Certainly a fitting end for such a villian, slain by his own aims etc.

I don't know, with the exception of like 5 Blues, Kalecgos, Tyrigosa and a few others, the rest have fallen in line with Mayelgos and want to wipe all magic users off the face of the world.
Seems like the flights follow where the Aspect goes, whether they want to or not.

No different then some of the dungeons. Hyjal had no point, was just there for a kickass fight. Could have tossed in a few infinite flights.

Except were talking about the ultimate control freak Deathwing. If any of his childern even thought about betraying him, he'd kill it no question asked. Not saying it couldnt happen, just saying fits in with the whole Black Flight Mythos. The entire flight is as crazy as he is, they believe in his fantism one and all, because thats the way he trained them.
And it looks like the Twilight Flight is going to be the same if the three in OS are any examples of the Flight.
(and no im trying to shoot anyone's ideas down)

"Don't look so smug! I know what you're thinking, but Ulduar was merely a set back. Did you honestly believe I would trust the future to some mouthy Old God and his brainwashed titan tools? Hahahaha... Oh no, no, no, he was merely an instrument, a stepping stone to a much larger plan! It has all led to this...and this time, you will not interfere!"

Well, it seems like Blizzard are going to be using the "setback" idea for other characters in WotLK, Anub'Arak for one, so may as well give the Raid Destroyer his own monologue. heh :)
