If you do it, be prepared to spend a lot of time farming honor. Like... loads of time. Not fun. If you have anything below at LEAST 700 resilience, you'll just pop and it won't be fun. Even at 750 resilience, I struggle. 800 is optimal and the time that resilience really helps.

I went from 0 res to 926 res, to ~1850s PR on 2s (Bloodlust) and 3s (Stormstrike) without ever changing my spec.
I never used a crit-reliant build since I hate RNG. However, this may change in the future due to Inspiration changes and the fact that 3s are becoming the dominant bracket. But then again, resilience is being buffed, meaning the game could possibly change into an outlast game like in TBC. Still not sure on what I should choose at that point.
There is more than just Resilience that you have to worry about in gear:
~5% hit rating is essential. Hit rating makes it so that key spells like Fear don't get missed so you don't lose games. "Minor" spells like Dispel won't miss so much so that you spend significantly less mana and less GCDs. Undead and Draenei essentially require 6% hit rating for your Shadow spells, and Blood Elves require 6% hit rating to everything.
Spell Penetration reduces the chance for Resists furthermore. 130 Spell Penetration is maximum, 35 is minimum, but you won't be able to hit 130 without getting the Spell Penetration Gladiator Off-Hand.
