It depends what style you like. If your going to be focused on PvP only, roll DK or paladin. Both of which have high potential for pve if you choose to switch.

I don't think shaman is getting changed in the coming patch, so playing ele with an arms warrior and resto druid would be pretty mean(bloodlust, MS, and 2x 7-8k insta crit Lava bursts....).
You could also play ret paladin or DK. Ret is getting completely redesigned in 3.2, so it could be good or bad, and ret hasn't been historically strong in arena. You could also play holy paladin/arms/feral or boomkin or disc priest/arms/feral or boomkin.
TBH, you already have the hard part taken care of. You can go with pretty much anything at this point. Plate melee will be more durable at lower gear levels, while destro locks and ele shams are mean as hell on burst if you can get casts out.
The better combo for CC/burst would be destro/arms/resto or you could even use UA/arms/resto and just cleave out so much damage the other healer can't keep up, BUT it takes a while to get all your spells out, yet, UA/haunt locks are more durable than desto locks.
If you're on horde, I hope the warrior is a tauren. Then you have 2 aoe stuns and you can play Belf for the 3rd class for an aoe silence on top of that and all the other CC you have.

Seems like I've missed a few things while I've been on holiday. What's this coming resilience change?
When you say burst is out and outlast / control is in, do you think thats going to be the case for all 2v2, 3v3 & 5v5? Whatever the change, perhaps burst may still be viable for 2v2 at least if CC is used wisely?

The resilience change is that it will reduce flat damage instead of DoT ticks. It'll still reduce chance to be critted, crit damage and mana drains.
Blizz have also nerfed 2v2 by making it so 2v2 points do not get you this year's gear, which means that the resilience change CAN be done, 2v2 with this resilience change would turn into hour long dps/healer fights.
So with this change burst will be lessened, and it will be more tactics on keeping everyone alive and not having the healer(s) go oom, instead of keeping the dps off the healer(s) at all costs.
