Hey Everyone. Im looking for some ideas/suggestions from some of the Destruction Warlocks out there. I know Most dont like to give out help, but i figured i would ask anyways.
Ive been playing for awhile. I have an 80 DK and 80 Druid and im almost at 80 on my Warlock. He is currently Affliction for leveling but i plan on using him for PvP Mainly.. DPS when raiding and im needed.
3 / 17 / 51
is the Specc i have decided on going at this time. Might be great, might have some holes, but i think thats what im aiming for.
I currently am working up engineering for use of the grenades and not sure what else i could use. so i just left mining on him for now. Suggestions? Other perks i missed?
Where do i need help. Im a clicker *sigh*. Yes, i havent been playing long enough to change nor do i know what the hell i am doing. Everyone else that i know that pvp are either clickers or healers(clicking Healbot).
So whats your Keyboard layout? ie What spells where.
How do you move? WS for forward and back and mouse to turn?
Like i said i am new to the whole keybinding thing( i dont even know how to do it yet) but i would like to get a decent setup to get used to.
Thanks for any help that is given. Really appreciate the time you might take to reply..

Old pic I used from a few weeks ago, but it gets the job done.
http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu155/SuperSexySnake/UI.jpg
Some changes: Healthstone and the other lame trinket are "H" and "Shift H"
F2 is 6, or conflag, and 7, or shadowfury is my middle mouse button.
T is every pet's 6th button, so spell lock, sacrifice, seduce, phase shift, and intercept.
G is death coil.
Get bartender, and just hover over something and click, rather simple.
I made the key binds in the hope that it'll be convient and I don't have to look down, they're all in finger's reach.
As for the build, take the points out of aff, put em in destruction, you don't need hit.
I honestly don't see the hype with keyboard turning, I use my mouse to move around, but for the moments where I need to target a specific target, and still move around, the keyboard helps. Sure I may not be the best, but in one night, me and a warr friend got up to 1300, and plan to go higher eventually, my burst is what won most of the fights.
Also, most profession only skills aren't use able in arena, but the rocket boots from engineering is still use able I believe.
Also, if you want, you can armory, info is in my sig for a good pvp build (2nd one) and glyphs. The chaos bolt glyph I might change, it has it's moments, but I think healthstone might be better.
And a general burst rotation that I use (that works hella often for getting someone from 8-14k down to 0) is immo, chaos bolt, conflag, shadowburn.
Hope it helps.

Play WoW as you would play an FPS. Use your mouse for looking, your WASD keys for strafing. Space to jump and instantly turn around.
Key bindings are essential for PvP, and you will need a ton of them to be successful.
Since i'm feeling generous/bored, the complete list of my keybinds (as Destro) is:
1 - Curse of Agony
2 - Immolate
3 - Corruption
4 - Drain Soul
5 - Frostweave Net
6 - Fel/Demon Armor toggle macro
F1 - Curse of Elements
F2 - All-in-1-pet macro (Seduce, spell lock, fel domination etc. depending on what pet is summoned)
F3 - Howl of Terror
F4 - Target self
F5 - Every Man for Himself/PvP Trinket
Ctrl+C - Conflagrate
Ctrl+R - Life tap
Ctrl+E - Fear
Ctrl+X - Shadowburn
Ctrl+3 - Incinerate
Ctrl+F - Searing Pain
Ctrl+D - Shadowbolt
Ctrl+4 - Chaos Bolt
Ctrl+Z - Seed of Corruption
Ctrl+Q - Deathcoil
Ctrl+T - Curse of Tongues
Ctrl+Alt+E - Shadowfury
Ctrl+Alt+X - Rain of Fire
Ctrl+Alt+D - Shadowflame
` - Healthstone
I'm sure i'm missing some of them ;)
Edit: oh, and this build

Thanks for the information guys! Much appreciated!
Like i said most people i have tried talking to about it will not give much information about their keyboard layouts or tactics..
Kobrakai,
Pretty much the same build other then the three points moved. I went with suppression as with pvp right now i mainly use the Fel Hunter. If i switch to using the Succubus ill use that build you suggested.
Glyphs i plan to use:
Major - Felhunter, Soul Link, Conflagrate
Minor - Unending Breath, Drain Soul, Enslave Demon
Thanks again for the Key Placements. Ill give them all a try! Much appreciated for your time you put into this. Im sure it il help me a lot and others looking as well..

My Destro tactics:
Glyphs: Immolate, Conflagrate, Healthstone.
Pet: Voidwalker
Talents:
0/20/51
Why I chose what I chose: I roll with a rogue in 2s. An extra 5% absorption would equal ~1k HP (remember: I'm not getting healed at all). An extra 30% on my healthstone is +1.5k HP recovered. Overall, it was more valuable for my comp. NOTE: If you are going with a healer, the value of Glyph of Soul Link increases EXPONENTIALLY.
Keybinds are complex.
1 - Curse of Tongues/Elements (Modified by Shift)
2 - Incinerate
3 - Immolate
4 - Conflagrate
5 - Demonic Teleport
6 - Chaos Bolt
R - Shadowburn
T - Mana Drain
G - Drain Soul (for shard farming purposes)
~ - Life Tap
F - Fear/Banish (Modified by Shift) *Note: I mostly use Gladius for fearing (Right click on enemy unit frame = fear)
X - Shadowfury
C - healthstone
= - Bandage
V - Deathcoil
B - Shadow Ward
E - Devour Magic (ON SELF)/Spell Lock (Modified by Shift), Sacrifice/Consume Shadows (When voidwalker is out)
Q - PvP Trinket/Totem Stomp (modified by shift)
CAPS - Shadowflame/Howl of Terror/Arcane Torrent (Modified by Shift and Control)
MOUSE 4: Ventrilo
MOUSE 5: Mount
If you want a FAST and EASY way to keybind stuff, get
BindPad
. It takes a few minutes to figure out, but once you understand it binding keys is stupidly simple =)
For Arena Strategies with a rogue:
I start out every round with the Voidwalker out. If its a double stealther/melee, he stays out. If it turns out to be a caster heavy group or a melee+healer, I pop the shield and then Feldom the Felhunter. Against stealthers, I attempt to LOS any enemy who would try to get in combat with me and start consuming shadows. My rogue partner will run about searching for the enemy, sapping what he sees. We normally CC the DPS and tunnel vision the healer (works well against Priest/Rogue). Each comp has a different strategy as to who is getting sapped and who is getting destroyed.
Its really touch and go, what with Blind and Fear being on the same DR, but its working out OK.

I don't mean to shoot out your whole post and I'm sure you've contributed to the Warlock PVP community quite a bit... but this is just a bit smug and I feel it could have been left out.
No need to act like some PVP super god by gracing us with your keybinds.

And your post adds what to the forum...?
Taking the time to reproduce your entire keybind list for someone else is being generous with your time, no?
What is it with people and pointless posts lately, has Thott closed down or something?
@OP:
With keybinds I'd advise against trying to add lots at once.
Start out with a few that you know you'll use often and add to them as you realise what's missing.
The key is to keep your main spells and 'panic buttons' close to hand.

I can see where catbread is coming from with his comment, however ive asked on forums and in game and no one usually takes the time to help out someone new with something that is so simple(to them) as key bindings and layouts.
The fact that Kobrakai took the time to post his layout down is generous. He may or may not be good at pvp, but he took the time to help me out. so for that i am thankful. None of the comments bothered me.. =)
Right now i have 4 spells on key bindings.. see how they go and go from there.. i might set up a full layout and just go to dungens with people and work on the casting of spells.. think that would help HUGE before i start actually pvping..
Mouse setup... Never thought if that.. My Druid uses Healbot. Mind you i am click on a menu to cast the spells but it works.. not sure it it would work for me in pvp but i might try that out too.. thanks for the input!

Alright i thought id update everyone that took their time to help out with keybindings..
Im no longer a clicker.. *waits for the applause*
I got a G11 keyboard. using the G keys for a bunch of spells however after trying it out i found some of the buttons were a pain to push. So i figured out how to use my mouse too. 8 extra buttons on my mouse that i am also using made it a GREAT deal easier.
That being said im learning all the buttons over again and i manage to screw up atleast twice every battle..
Thanks again
