well you can because most of talents are the same... but you won't be as good as any specced PVE Disc

that would be a standart build for PVE, some ppl change shadowfiend glyph for fade one...

and this one a PVP one
the major difference there is the lack of Inspiration Talent in PVP since for me it has not much use, but in PVE you'll be MT healer so you'll need that talent for sure (Note: Some ppl change the 2 points in Focused Power for Blessed Recovery) but less cast time on MD can kill a pally and save a lot of time ^^

The regen would be the issue in a PvP spec more than the actual heals.

It shouldn't be to hard, assuming your PvP gear is good enough. I recently looked at my gear, and in pvp gear/spec I could still probably heal 10-man Naxx/OS.
Regen would only be an issue if the group is undergeared. Sure, you may have to stop to take a drink a few times, but ultimately, you shouldn't see any problems.
If you were to throw on PvE gear but keep a PvP spec, you shouldn't have a problem healing anything pre-Ulduar (once again assuming your gear is up to par). Your healing output will go down very little and your regen should remain exactly the same. Any good PvP build takes all the PvE longevity talents.

like I said be4 the only loss you get from healing in PVP Spec is the loss of Insipiration (which does matter a bit in undergeared tanks), you also loose Innerfocus but that may not be the biggest issue...
If you can use Dual Talents both Disc, one for PVP ohter for PVE

In 3.2 this will change.
Giving a clothie a 25% armor boost as it happens now in 3.1 is so not worth the talent points.
But giving a clothie a 10% damage reduction as it will happen in 3.2 is a must have for both PvP and PvE.
is it worthy now?
I meant the difference in PVE and PVP tree is the lack of the Inspiration in the last one... it kinda rules you out of Main Tank healing if he's not geared enough and if there are gear check fights ^^
