First of all they are making them a more sustained dps class instead of a bursty dps class.
Second of all...don't do that.

Everyone is getting their burst lowered in PvP (except perhaps rogues for some reason *YES!*).
So while ret are losing the ability to burst someone down so is everyone else as well.
3.2 isn't live yet so it's way to soon to say anything, and all i've heard from the PTRs right now is just Q-Q-WAAAI. Maybe it's justifiable after all?

From my time on PTR, my Retadin is still a wrecking ball in BGs. I still have absolutely no inhibitions when it comes to jumping on top of someone in a huge group, stun-lock them, and kill them before they can even trinket. The burst is still definitely there; yes, it's not nearly as much as current patch, but it's still there.
I think it's just unavoidable. Ret Paladins abilities are all instant-cast; therefore, we dump literally every ability we have (all three or four :P) in our first rotation; over a period of time, factoring in cooldowns, our DPS gets steady. But in that first stun-lock? It's going to be very high -- the mechanics of our class practically guarantee that, no matter what Blizz does to our cooldowns. :P
