I would like to support this too. Although info about specific achievements can normally be found on their respective pages it would be nice to have a forum (besides General) to have broader discussions concerning them.

I am curious as to what advantage a forum would have over visiting the database page for the achievement and reading/leaving comments. "Broader discussion" was mentioned, but I am not sure there'd be enough to warrant an entire forum.

I would imagine it would have much the same purpose as the official achievement forum. It would serve as a place to discuss strategies for completing achievements, a place to ask questions about them, etc. I was under the impression that the comment system was meant to be kept as clean as possible by only adding comments that are immediately useful to someone looking at the achievement. That is to say, things like "I think the fastest way to go about doing all of the brewmaster achievements" kind of discussions would not belong there. The end result (the actual fastest way) would be an acceptable comment, but the actual discussion that led to figuring that out wouldn't be.
The same thing would be true of any of the theorycraft that tends to flood the various achievement comments that is largely useless until it's been varified. Take the
Lil' Game Hunter
achievement, for example. The most useful comment there is the list of pets, but there are 7 additional comments under that that are just listing corrections to that post, which simply don't need to be there. If that list had first shown up in a forum where people could openly discuss the list, those comments would not be there.
A more useful purpose to the forum would probably be as a place where people can ask questions about the achievements that are a little vague that may not be answered in the comments. Since their question is not useful, it would not make a valid comment, and thus eventually be down ranked.
However, I can see your reasoning as well. Is there really enough of a demand to generate a use for such a forum? I don't know, but the official one seems to be incredibly popular.

If you barely get comments on the suggestion, imagine how the forum will look like...
The above is not meant to discourage you!

Are you saying that the achievement forum wont be used? Last time you liked the idea and was surprised that Wowhead didn't have an achievement forum.
The reason that there isn't many replies might be that the Site Feedback forum ain't that popular.
