Hello,
bit of a weird question here, but I'm currently in the possession of both a
Winged Talisman and a
Spark of Life, with the
Egg of Mortal Essence being my "main" trinket. I have a hard time figuring out which of the two would be more effective overall for a Discipline (PvE) priest. I'm mostly doing Heroics right now.
I've been using the Talisman a lot and deploy its on-use Spellpower right before Shields, PoMs and Renews, which seems to do a swell job; however, I also tend to run into mana problems every now and then and am wondering which would yield the better overall MP5.
The
Spark of Life has a 10% proc rate, which should be triggered fairly often due to Flash Heals being a staple, and unless I happen to have a BoW or Replenishment class in the group I burn about 35 - 50% of my mana per pull, hence the desire for an efficient passive regen.
Update:After a few tests, it seems like the internal CD is what kills the Spark of Life in the end run, since the mp5 restoration is really the only viable stat on it (the Haste impact is minimal on its own). I'm personally going to stick with the Winged Talisman until I can find the
Talisman of Troll Divinity or
Forge Ember.
Feel free to correct me though :D

I agree with Chiv...the whole "exactly when you need it" has saved me a bunch of times.
For example, I do something stupid and now I'm dead, but kind Mr. Druid decides to BR me. Ouch! My mana pool is low and my fiend is on CD, but I have to heal asap. Mr. Illusion comes in to save the day!
Also, if you can afford it,
Je'Tze's Bell is an extreamly useful trinket. I couldn't tell you how often it procs, but it gives 300 mana/proc as well as an additional 106 sp (if anyone has done any testing on this, please let me know :D).

Thanks for all the feedback C: I've successfully snagged up a DMC:Illusion and am currently sneaking my way into 25-man OS hoping for an
Illustration of the Dragon Soul.
You've been a big help! :D
