Shaman Arena in 3.2

Are others as skeptical as I am about the viability of shamans in 3.2 arena?
On the one hand we get a number of individual buffs to our class, including a 9% increase in hit points.
On the other hand 2s will be obsolete in 3.2 (2s rating will not count towards the requirements to purchase gear in the new season). Having played a resto shaman in 3s and 5s I can tell you that we are immediately targeted by the pain train. And we don't hold up well.
Won't the 9% increase in hit points help? Well if you have about 20,000 hit points now that is an increase of less than 2000 health. That's a DK's white swing.
Perhaps the change in resil will provide more of a boost to survivability than I anticipate. If so, I will be a satisfied PvPer. But forcing us to heal in 3s and 5s is not a happy change for resto shaman.
WTB plate and a bubble!

Here is your bubble
Yes I have that on my shaman and I love it. I drop stoneclaw then immediately earthbind and run (for those who do not know the damage shield remains even if stoneclaw totem is replaced). It's one of my favorite arena moves.

Won't the 9% increase in hit points help?
It's a 7% increase in
Base Health
. So I hate to burst your bubble but thats more like... 350 hit points, not 2000.
The changes in 3.2 are good for a shaman, they make PvP lean towards the 5v5 bracket.. which happens to be the shaman mule bracket (look at sig, 'nuff said).

Remember the ghost wolf change. Let me remind you if you dont feel like going through patch notes: "Ghost Wolf: Can now be learned at level 16. While in this form, snaring effects may not bring the shaman below base normal run speed. "
Also, a major goal for any priest / other shaman is to dispel your ES
"Earth Shield: Dispel effects will now remove charges of Earth Shield rather than the entire aura."
AND
"Ancestral Healing: The buff from this ability now reduces the physical damage taken by the target by 3/7/10% instead of increasing the target's armor."
These changes are huge, get your team mates peeling from you, and I'm pretty sure you will be okay. Of course you still need to remember basic PvP rules (LoS as much as possible, time your grounding totem, stoneclaw can save you, etc, etc)

What's the best 3v3 combo for a resto shaman? And 2v2?

This sums it up. Great changes overall. The Ghost Wolf change is interesting as Shamans have been asking for a change that would make Ghost Wolf similar to a Druids shapeshifting but was always considered over powered (understandable). But this new change may balance things out nicely. We just have to wait and see!
