I was sitting around earlier today and reading yet another forum thread about
Frostmourne
, as some people think it would be outrageous if this fabulous sword is going to drop, when we’re finally going to take out
Arthas
– The Lich King – in Icecrown Citadel. There were also some discussions about who were going to assist us in that fight, as we’ll doubtfully finish him off alone.
Then, all of a sudden, it dawned on me. It’s been a while since we’ve heard about
Muradin Bronzebeard
, after he was found out to be alive, and king of
The Frostborn
in Northrend’s
Storm Peaks
. After meeting up with his two brothers, he was off to find Arthas… and that’s the last we heard of him. Did he arrive yet…?
Frostmourne the runeblade is, most likely, going to be dropped, no matter how bad some people don’t want it to happen. Surely, with the Lich King himself dead, the magic and corruption oozing from the sword will fade, and – more or less – just be a very fancy looking sword, like for instance, the
Warglaives
of
Azzinoth
. If not (and let’s hope so), then surely a famous lore character will pick it up – like what happened to
Ashbringer
.
Now, the connection I made was because I suddenly remembered the movie trilogy about
Jason Bourne
. Both he and Muradin had been victims of a very extreme case of amnesia. But, the connection is more than just that, if you avoid the small details, and look at the “coincidences” with the the simple matter with the names. Muradin, King of the Frostborn, will carry Frostmourne.
Whether or not we’ll see him as a Death Knight however, is a whole other story… But it would probably be required, as only
Death Knights
wield runeblades.

Nah, I don't see that happening. Muradin is the Frostborn king yeah. But once the Lich King dies, the armour and Frostmourne will be rendered inert. What everyone keeps forgetting is that Frostmourne was part of the Armour/Ner'zhul/Lich King. He sent the blade outwards to find a willing host for himself, which he got when Arthas picked it up.
In all honestly, Muradin will show up in Icecrown Citadel as part of the grand assault on the Lich King with all the others; Highlord's Morgaine and Fordring, Rhonin and Valeesa, Sylvanas, Thrall and Varian, Jaina and the Bronzebeards and the Night/Blood Elf groups.

If we're really lucky, they'll make the Frostmourne like the Black AQ mount, one per realm(except for the random hiccups on server days that can let other people get them).

Hm, I don't think I made the whole pun-thing obvious enough. Oh well *enjoys discussion* :)

Frostmourne on a Frostborn?
Outrageous
!
Now, I haven't seen any of the Bourne movies, so would you elaborate a little? What are those small details you speak of, and how did you come up with a theory that sounds...fresh?

The Bourne films suck. Badly. Seems like an American rip-off of James Bond without the personality to me.
I am sorry for pseudo-trolling and speaking off-topic.
On topic, I do not want Frostmourne dropping (As I have stated many times lol) And if someone has to wield it, I hope it is a Lore Character. Or, that Ashbringer neutralises Frostmourne, or both swords destroy eachother.

To be honest, the only similarity-details worth mentioning (that I can think of, that is), is the name - and the fact that the main character suffers from amnesia. If you want to see something about the movies, follow the IMDB-link from "Jason Bourne" above, and find the trailers of the movies. Quite a fine action-trilogy-thingie, but nothing extremely unheard of.
... how I can up with it? My mind has a mind of it's own. *taps forehead* :P

Just to remind a number of you that anything that is discussed and has not yet come around (such as Bolvar and Saurfang Jr. becoming Death Knights, the Frostmourne dropping, the Maelstorm being the next expansion, and even killing the Lich King himself) are only speculation. I know everyone here is saying "I know, I know...", but until it is solidified in the game itself it will not necessarily happen.
So when you say "forstmorn wil haf leet statses", you only sound foolish. It may or may not drop, and it's only Blizzard's job to decide what comes next (granted, with influence form the players... but regardless).
Some of you are getting way too involved with your own ideas, and becoming so enthuzed with it all that it becomes ridiculous. It's almost like discussing what's going to happen to you in the next 20 years with your parents... you just don't know what strange turn life is going to take. I'm afraid we can only discuss what
may
be, not what will.
So what you're saying is that speculation and is basically a worthless waste of time? Atleast, that's the idea I got when reading that post. Not only is that a sad perspective, but also an insult to many people's hobbies. I don't really think there's alot of people stating that what they're saying is true (is there any at all...?), but only opinions and their own speculation - which is what this is.
Any forum without speculation/theorizing of any sort will, believe it or not, be boring as hell. And that's my opinion - as I havn't seen it yet, and thus don't know :)

That is not a one-per-realm mount I'm afraid. People had ten days to get one after the first person rang the gong.
It was 10 hours, not 10 days so do not spread missleading information. Also the ammount of work a guild had to do and the person in question made sure it was almost one per realm. Now you see alot of mount on server often due to people transfered to fresh realm before blizz changed it. Think they changed the new servers codes at aprile, but it was this year. It means that new servers who gets open have already an open gate and transfered people cannot steal the gong and get a mount afterwards now the q line is not that hard for a 80 with friends. Also on some server patch days a bug occured who left the gate not open so you could re done the event.
