I don't agree with these changes, but I understand why they have been implemented. It just reminds me of how painful the 'grand marshal or high warlord grind' was as compared to how easy it is to get PvP gear now.

I'm not super old school like some of you peeps, so I can't say that I'd miss farming for weeks / months for a lot of stuff.
HOWEVER - I think some of this is crap. Specifically another siege-based BG. I hate SotA. HATE HATE HATE HATE.
I really wish they'd put some more effort into balancing pvp since they're obviously wanting to put more emphasis on it. I mean, come on Blizzard. Take the extra time it takes to give people more reason to do something other than do dailies and the same instances / raids over and over.
