Hey. Explain sth to me :) This
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#of0qczMcZZAIbIobu0fdMfot
seems to be the spec of choice for frost pvp. Got some questions tho if some1 can explain:
Arctic Winds: Why skip? seems to me like its worth it.
Brain Freeze: I can understand that its a ++ for burst but is it rly that important?
Arcane Consentration: Is it rly worth it to max out? Wouldnt a point in absorption be better?
Arcane Fortitude:i can see why its bad i can see tho why it could be good. How much would u say is the range of ur intellect at lvl 80 with pvp gear?
Thnx in advance

Ok but that rly explains nothing :) It rly hasnt been helpful and i dnt want to just follow what others are doing. I want to know the logic for ur spec and not random answers... Besides skipping spell impact seems kind of noobish to me :)

I obviously saw ur spec m8. And as i said "it explains nothing" :)
Explain to me the logic behind it and after what thinking and testing u specced into it. its not that hard... Why would polymorph and counterspell range be better compared to dmg increase on ice lance. I want to know the logic behind the talents. For example say that arctic winds is not worth 5 pts because u can put more pts in arcane and add more resistance or more utility. Dnt answer with "its not" cuz i dnt wanna hear it. Share some of ur experience (if any) or dnt answer at all

DaButcher is giving you much more solid info that Blue Pill.
This is my Arcane BG spec at the moment:
http://www.wowarmory.com/talent-calc.xml?cid=8&tal=10532023012203010332310251532103000000000000000000000000003030203010000000000000000000
I've found even with the intellect-reduced PvP gear that Arcane Fortitude makes a noticeable difference in those situations where you have to take melee damage for 1-2 seconds against Warriors, Rogues, DK's, and to a lesser degree Pallies. A DK can death grip and strangulate you. What do you do if you don't have ice block? The talent helps. Especially when you combine it with Permafrost and Frostbite (I always have Ice Armor on, unless I'm descending on a lone caster or something, and even then, I'm always suspicious a rogue is around, so yeah, I pretty much never take it off).
And screw mana regen for mages. Especially in PvP. Take the Absorption.

Yes that link was pretty much what i was looking for ty :)
Btw since FoF procs from frostbite what does that second invested point does for u? It means that generally every time frostbite procs FoF procs as well or that every time frostbite procs there is a 15% chance (with 2/2 FoF) that it will proc as well?

If you're planning on taking to Arenas with this spec, make sure to put a 2nd point in Arcane Subtlety (to disrupt Priest/Pally teams that rely on dispels to neutralize the effectiveness of polymorph); it's a tough call where to take that point from. I would recommend Arcane Potency.

The 2nd point in FoF just means you're twice as likely to get the damage bonus from the talent. Frostbite just means that 15% of the time your chill effects (from Frostbolt, Cone of Cold, Ice Armor procs, etc) will actually freeze the target in place. So you won't get a second damage bonus; in other words, if Frostbite procs, then the target is already frozen, so it doesn't matter if FoF proc'd at that point.
FoF will ensure, though, that an additional 15% of the time you will treat a slowed target as if it is frozen; so not only will you get the Torment the Weak damage bonus, but also the damage bonuses from Shatter (+100% Crit against frozen targets) and the endemic triple damage bonus for Ice Lance against frozen targets. Frostbite will also give you this bonus 15% of the time, but only if you deliver the damage while they're still actually frozen (ex. if a Pally uses Hand of Freedom before you get a spell off, you won't get the bonus). Sometimes Frostbite and FoF will overlap in their procs, so it's not like you're improving your frozen damage by 30%. Should be 22.5%, right? That's a guess. It's been a long time since school.
An extra 22.5% of the time, your chill effects will either freeze the target or treat the target as frozen (or both). When you consider you'll also have Permafrost, you realize how well the spec comes together. Your chill effects slow them more effectively, sometimes freeze them, and do bonus damage that stacks as these effects stack.
