Shadow Affinity: Less threat = more dps.
I don't under stand that logic, since
range
and
survivability
= more dps.

Ok, first: the above PvE build, while decent, could be better. The above posters were right about the range and reduced mana.
I would recommend using
this
. It's pretty much the cookie-cutter build, with a focus on survivability, mana preservation, and of course dps as its first priority. The minor glyphs are all interchangeable based on preference, and you can move points from Inner Focus, Veiled Shadows, and Imp. VE into other talents such as Shadow Affinity, Imp. Shadowform, or Silence based on your needs.

This has logic but is dated.
Tho Helkyte, things changed a lot. In Burning Crusade, you had to be careful with you damage values and threat values. However, Lich King tanks usually (if good, but most can handle it) stand most threat. You have an innate 30% threat reduction by Shadowform; you won't need more. You mostly can't pass the risky value even pushing out the max dps you can.

Simply put, this is the build with the REQIURED skills if you want to be successful at raiding.

Where you spend the other points between imp shadowform, ve, or shadow reach is up to your preferences.
Imp Shadowform is required for raiding. It is not an optional extra. So is Shadow Reach.
This
is the skeleton build.
I'm forced to disagree with you about Imp. Shadowform.
I find that while it is extremely useful, I also am just fine without it.
However, it does depend on what level you're raiding at. Naxx doesn't have much AoE damage, and thus not much knockback, so it's less than necessary. However, in the higher end of raiding, AoE damage is more common, and the talent is welcome.
I'm just saying that it's a useful tool, but not a necessity.
tl;dr: Great in Ulduar, not so much in Naxx
