Dying Curse vs. Dragon Soul

I was talking with a guildie last night after he heard me mention that
Dying Curse
is still BiS trinket for a lock. He brought up that the
Dragon Soul
provides a constant 200 spell power, and while the 765 SP is nice, it isn't constant (from what I've read it procs fairly often, but has a 45 sec. internal cooldown).
I'm going off of Gorefiend's Ulduar raid gear list and I was just looking for other's opinions and experiences, since Gore puts the Dragon Soul as 5th on the list and I don't have either of the items yet.
Here's my toon for inspection
Thanks!

as gore says, it's a hit rating thing. hit rating is very binary in nature. it's worth a lot (more and more the higher your overall gear level) until you're capped at which point it is COMPLETELY worthless.
so you hard cap your hit then you go in a group with a draenei and they just made 26 of your hit rating pointless - you could've used that item budget for spellpower. now you go in a raid with a boomkin and you're 4% over the hit cap >.<
of course it helps that the dying curse also has a very nice proc but it basically boils down to "if you need the hit it's the best there is".

Awesome, thanks for the input guys.
I'll go for the Dragon Soul then while I'm hit capped and switch as necessary.

I use both. Although that's because i can't find anything better to replace them with or are too lazy to get them.

man if i don't say "i love you" a lot then forgive me. same goes for Gorefiend, you guys make my warlocking very enjoyable.
which leads me to a question (did you think all those compliments were for free? ... no)
and this is directed to everyone who has any input too =)
this is my lock
Max
i do realize that i kinda stacked a lot of hit, cause my gear wasn't that great, but i have been lucky lately and my hit went from 10% to what it is now.
i'm respeccing to 0/13/58 no more need for suppresion. so i would love any tips about my gems my enchants and how much Hit i really need now.
thank you all =)
Edit: thanks a lot mEil

thanks mEil, and you can see my dilemma here, since i usually pug raids so i don't always know who i'm raiding with.
i'll try and keep it balanced for now, hopefully start doing Uludar soon.

yes that makes a lot of sense and a pretty damn good idea. this way if i get a boomkin or a shadow priest and a draenie at the same raid, a lot places where i have more hit than needed i can have more Spellpower.
again thanks man you've been a great help.

mEil is exactly right.
i used to use
mark of the war prisoner
as my back up and used it in exactly the same way. if i went in to a group without a balance druid or shadow priest i swap in the trinket.
(the trinket is from heroic VH and is definitely worth the time and effort to get hold of)

Yeah, I'm oozing with hit right now, so I've been trying to get the Dragon Soul. Thanks for all the advice!
