That helm was perfectly itemized for you. Nothing wrong in rollling on it.

it was not really wrong if he did not set up a ground rule he needed something certain from the bosses. I know shamans loot is not really that good then it comes to mail/leather sometimes so it is understandable then it comes to that. But just asking, was you playing dps and he was healer for the grp right?
I usually have a simple rule i follow Mainspecc before offspecc and use your head then it comes to items(purple not always best kek). That means you get prio roll on the role you play currently in the grp so you do not go all dual specc whoring stuff.

Unless there is someone of a lower gear proficiency needing on the item too, there is noting wrong with Enhance needing Rogue leather nor Ele/Resto needing non-spirit cloth/ Boomkin leather. Stat allocation matters, armour value does not...

armor is irrelevant in PVE healing or DPS.....
Armor is just a stat that eat up other stat that more usefull
why he %^&*! because he wanted it, it's simple greedy and say you won it fair and square and its a upgrade
except i know why he get %^&*ed since its the best entery lvl helm for boomkin and raiding

The Druid wanted it because it was leather, and Shamans can use mail. Hence the "asking before needing leather" bit.
As for enhancement rolling on leather, we get quite a lot of ap from intellect just like hunters do which means that leather isn't well itemized for us.
Expertise is quite rare on mail and capping it using rings/weapons isn't always possible. Leather also has quite a lot of AP/Agi which means its often an upgrade ofer intellect mail.

You should only roll on lower armored gear if everyone who is able to use it doesnt want it. Also, in your defence, when you asked, he shoulda said something. He had no excuse to whine about it afterwards.
This is also how I feel. Leveling up and non-heroic dungeons offer you more leeway, in my opinion. But once you start hitting instances with lockout timers, Temple's priority list seems the most fair.

I really do think that this depends on what happened...
If you asked and then immediately needed before the druid could answer or consider, you're wrong.
If you gave him plenty of time and he said nothing when he could well have, tough.
If he thinks that cloth and leather is (statistically) bad for caster Shamans, he is wrong.

If it has the stats you need, I see no problem. You should ignore the druid completely, because if a resto druid is rolling on something thats not itemized for his spec he obviously has no idea what he's on about.

After done with the instance, i went to armory to check his gear and found out he is using some cloth item. which lead me to believe he have this double standard that he believe he should deserve cloth item and leather item whatever he like but believe that other spellcaster should wear only their highest armor class no matter what.
Correct me if im wrong, and please without flaming.
There is no double standard. No one would have a problem with a shaman looting cloth or leather in a group where nobody wants the item.
