You mean that people playing other classes can do the same thing you can? Wow....what is the world coming to?
Seriously, warriors are just fine. No classes are obsolete. Only bad players become obsolete. If you are a good player, then you won't get replaced.
And don't pull the "equally geared and skilled" thing...there is no such thing. Theory is not reality.
Ok, I agree not everyone is equal skilled. But in most decent guilds EVERYONE can keep a damn easy rotation running. How I'm supose to beat a DK/feral as a warrior atm? Skil ain't gone help me, trust me on that.
I wil be taken to 100% of the raids when im avaible so no I don't worry, but an average DK can keep up so easely while an average warrior gets run over. If you consider that fair fine, but I don't.
Saying warriors are fine is just stupid...

If you're so concerned about your dps than re-roll a mage or hunter.
If you're so concerned about your tanking than re-roll a n00bknight
If you answered "no" to the above two "if"s than why are you complaining about your CHOSEN class the warrior?
Take what you got and play with what you got...seems like a rather viable option. Stop complaining about "this class can do this and I cant. /cry" If you were truly dedicated to the warrior class you would see it through.
So I'm not allowed to whine about the clas I like to play?
Somthing a lot of people forget.
If people whine about their clas it means they actualy like $%^&ing playing it or they wouldnt whine about it in the first place. So whiners wil rarely reroll.
And if your concerned about DPS then why not just roll a rogue or a lock instead of mage/hunter? There both better with rogue being the top dog.
Ow...that might be because theres actualy somthing called patches...

There's no point in complaining. If you're having fun keep playing your warrior. If not, reroll. It really is that simple. No amount of complaining will change anything.
I have noticed less and less warriors around. Just take a look at the 25 man raids, and I see less and less warriors joining them. Actually now that I have geared up my paladin, I find I log into my warrior less and less also.

I'm not a warrior (Holy Priest), but I wanted to comment on this.
While it's true that you don't see a lot of warriors around, in my experience the warriors that
are
around tend to be pretty skilled.
I have lost count of the number of bad Pally and DK tanks I've encountered in PuGs and the like...especially the Pallies. But I smile when I get a Warrior Tank in my group, because I figure if they've stuck with the class, there's a good chance that they're skilled enough to make it work (they haven't rerolled in frustration). And I'm usually right.
Random pallies strike fear in me, since invariably they can't seem to hold aggro worth a damn and cause everyone to take aggro - and then I take a boatload of aggro from the sheer amount of effective healing I need to pump out just keeping everyone alive. Eventually I'm out of CDs and aggro-dumps and I die, then everyone dies.
A well-played Warrior is an absolute pleasure to play with...and frankly well-played Warriors are most of what is left.
I love Warriors. You, on the whole, make my job easy. I think it's a shame if people don't let you into things as often because it's easier for a mediocre player to perform adequately with another class. =(

Hehe, this used to be the exact same arguement about feral druids, but they are more rare than warriors now. In all, on my realm, I know of 3 skilled feral druids. Yep, 3. I'm one, and the other 2 are in AT, which is the top ranked guild on the server and has been since TBC. I played with one while we were progressing thru naxx in 3.0. The other I never played with.
Anyways, long story short. Yes, the warriors that remain are the ones that are skilled. The FotM warriors have given up and are now playing nub knights.
However, it's not the prot warriors that I know that impress me. It's the arms warriors that can really play the class that impress me. Mainly because the majority of the warriors I know play prot.

The reason you don't see many warriors these days is simple.
Warrior - Almost all weapons trainable (no wands), strongest armor, stances, small duration buffs, few healing capabilities, tank or dps.
Pallies - Almost same number of weapons to learn, wear same armor, but they can heal where a warrior can't, bubbles, blessings, cure poisons/diseases, rez, lay on hands (oh sh*t button), remove DoT's, tank or heal or dps.
DKs - Also large weapon arsenal, wear same armor, enchantment of weapons that are free, temporary/permanent (depending on spec) Ghoul, pressence's (more or less stances), tank or dps.
Their are a lot more appealing factors to Pallies and DK's than Warriors so when a new player (for example) starts a new character, basing it on pros and cons, a Pally is much more appealing. Now when that player gets to 80 and has maybe learned a bit about his class he may want to start another character that is similar to his Pally he just leveled. Aside from a DK being more appealing, they start at level 55 which only leaves 25 levels for the player to complete, rather than the 80 for a newly created warrior.
Imo Warriors are one of the most fun classes to play, due to the rage system and the abilities that you use. If a new player instantly picks Warrior over a Pally even if they know the pros of a Pally outweigh those of a Warrior, then they are a player looking for a challenge and will make a good 80 Warrior.

A warrior tank is funner to play !
I leveled my pally as a tank in BC.. it was booooooring.....
Agree 100% there, although tzanking with a warrior now is a lot more boring then it was in TBC.
Loved DPS and healers saying we wil never make it without cc and me proving them wrong and having a speedrun to boot.
