Warlock is pretty quick on the grind. There is almost no down time, but leveling Affl is kinda boring IMO. Warlocks also survive much longer than mages in PvP, but it's really up to you.
My vote would be warlock.

Have you considered rolling a Priest. If you went with a Priest you would have essentially 2 characters. I know that SPriests are really geared oriented. But they are still incredibly good. And maybe you want to heal? I think it is diffently worth considering.

Frost mages only survive on kiting. If you play affliction, which will have a good buff next season, has good self healing and survival, while being able to deal damage on 2+ targets at once.

Yea, a lock with a good healer (trees are the best) can kill or tie down 3 or 4 people for 20 to 30 sec untill help can get here.
Me and a Dics Priest locked donw a Mage, pally, and Druid healer, in AB we where able to kill the pally and Mage before a rogue Saped the healer and StunLocked me. I blame are death on the Priest not having a trinket, but we keep them form taking the Gold mine until more of are people could rez and come defend it.

Moonkins are terrible for pvp. This is coming from a druid. Armor means crap; most melees have an interrupt + lockout,. The key to survival is decreasing melee's time on target on you, by maintaining distance. Moonkin has the crappiest tools for maintaining distance; Think about how much easier it is for a frost mage to snare/escape, or a lock to coil/fear/teleport.
If you want a caster, I would stick with mage. They are relatively stable pvp-wise compared to locks which have seen their high and low moments.
