Should everyone get to fight the Lich King?

As the title suggests, when the patch finally comes (3.3 or 3.4) - do you think every player should get the chance to (eventually) get an easy path to slaying the Wrath King?
Or should it be reserved purely for the 1% of the population who raid 3-5 days a week? What exactly is the point of the expansion if you can't take part in the end story?

That's an interesting question, OP.
To some, a game is not a game unless you can win. There must be an end, or you feel like nothing's accomplished, and so why bother? Most those people probably don't play MMO's, since they are just never-ending time sinks, where no one can truly win. Even world first ... may not get the best gear.
Forgetting the above, I think Arthas will likely be unbeatable by most guilds, just as Algalon is right now (is that right spelling? who cares, I probably wont' even see him).
Should Arthas be beatable by all guilds who are moderately raiding? probably not. But I'd like to get mid-way into that instance - about where I am now in ulduar, to feel close enough for the fight.

It should be open to everyone, which is what blizzard is doing with all raid instances. Some people are complaining about this, but the complaining is nowhere near as heavy as it was when naxx 40 was reigning. There's no way to keep everyone happy, but making raiding easy keeps MORE people happy than making raiding hard. It's the lesser of the two evils.

Well, they've already stated there's going to be a 10 man version of it. So, more than likely, at least that will be clearable for casuals. Which is the whole point of where Blizzard has taken raiding. They WANT more than those 2% of every server that make it to end-game. That's the whole purpose for hard-modes and no more 40 mans.
Otherwise, it'd just be the hardcore gamers seeing the content, which isn't the majority of the people paying for WoW.
So, yes, I expect some form of it to be clearable for casuals, otherwise the rest of the x-pac would have been pointless.

Personally, I'd love it if in some way shape or form, the last killing blow, or the last shot at the lich king was made solo. At 99.99% a group split should happen, with everyone instanced into their own version, where them and them alone would finish off the Lich king. I think everyone will see it at some point anyway, whether it be this xpac or 2 down the line.

It's funny how 10 man is seen as Casual friendly. In my experience most bosses seem to need to a lot less concentration on 25 man, but that experience is only half way into Ulduar.
