doing instances or not is rly your choice... but if its not a good group it will be slower than solo lvling
But in Outlands dont bother getting gear... Northrend Quests rewards are much better than non-heroic instances gear, so when you hit 68 go to Northrend... it will be much faster
Then in Northrend you can decide wether to run for gear or not, I would advise to do so because you'll get knowlodge of the isntances for the heroic version
Try to get good groups with ppl you know (guild or friends), the best groups are the ones that dont talk at all... In my Hunter I did a UK (at lvl 68) we didnt talked the whole instance there was no mana breaks so it was pretty fast ^^
I would advise to do 1/2 times each instance for quests and to get used to those isntaces since you going to run them a lot in heroic mode (and heroic are just small chances and boosts from Normal Version, the strategy is usually the same)

Actually I think staying in Outland is better. Once you hit 80 you can complete all Northrend quests for TONS of gold, saving up as many as possible to do once you are 80 is great way to get rich.
If you stay in Outland until 70 or even 71-72 you will have a LOT more quests left in Northrend to make gold.
Additionally I find the Nothrend areas to be very boring. Outland on the other hand is awesome (especially Netherstorm, imho the most awesome area in the whole game).

But you can do the quest even after 80 I think... at least with my pally I could. Or my maybe it was just quest that were in my quest book before dinging 80?
And yes, Northrend is MUCH better. Quests in outlands are boring and don't have much sense.
And Excuse me, but icecrown is BREATHTAKING :)))
He was saying that you will make a ton of gold if you save your quests until 80. You can get any quests at level 80 even ones WAY below your level.
The advantage to doing this is instead of getting experience (obviously) the quests are worth a bunch more gold. So if you don't do a lot of the northrend quests while leveling up and save them to do when you ding 80 not only will they be much easier but they'll give you tons of gold to boot.

wait.. just so i'm clear.. once u ding 80, does the gold reward for quests increase from what they would have been if u did them before 80?
Yes. At level 80 all quest rewards are money, based on XP usually gained from the quest.
That's right. It's called "compensation". You no longer get the XP reward from the quest (obviously, since you are 80 already) and are compensated with gold (more then the quest would normally give) instead.
At lvl 80 I usually get about 13g for a quest and 20g to 26g for a group quest or the final quest of quest chains.
For lower level quests it's more like 10g each. Taking into account that the lower level quests only take minutes it is actually quite easy to make >1000g a day once you hit 80 (at least until you run out of quests).

I love doing instances, since I can practice healing which is my final destionation at 80 :p
Question is, before Northrend is it worth it doing them just for the gear?
I fail to see why you need justification to do something you "love".
It's a game. There is nothing wrong with doing anything in the game for fun. And in your case, you get gear AND experience as an added bonus. What can be wrong with that?

^^ My point exactly.
By the way, many good pieces of Outland gear have several sockets (two or three). Get those. They were created with TBC gems in mind, and were pretty good back then. But now as you can put WotLK gems into those sockets, they are closer to "crazily OP" instead. :)
