Basic quest rewards from most low NR quests should give you the capability to heal them if your a moderately skilled player

Depends. Do not hesitate to try tho. Gear is the least important factor for UK.
Your tank is one of the most important tho at low gear. Choosing a druid tank means that his huge HP pool is meant to soak damage. In contrast, choosing a paladin tank, a tank which is built around block, means that the damage intake will be much less. It is easier for an undergeared healer to heal a paladin over a druid.
Try getting a warrior or a paladin for the first run.
Choose your tank first, then your DPS. Try getting some ranged, cause there are a lot of melees that will complain when they get hit by bombs and not receive heals. (although it is their fault)
Almost the same apply to nexus too. Try it 2nd tho. More damage going around and you might wipe on the spellcaster boss since you will most propably go oom.

70 pally put on old blues from Outland quests and like 3 greens from quest. I had 750 SP and healed all the way through UK. Low mana pool drinking after every pull but not bad.

There is no "requirements", go for it. If your really not confident just pick a bear tank as there large hp pools are more forgiving and, more importantly, they are crit immune so you can rely on them not to take spikes at low levels. Nexus has a fair bit of AoE damage but it shouldn't really be a problem.
Actually, if any plate-wearing tank grabs the green level 70 Cobalt Set, they will be defense capped, there's so much defense on that gear it almost boggles the mind :P (for greens at least).
EDIT: That set should be able to be crafted for about 50g. That's an entire set for 50g, and is an awesome starting levelling tanking set.

I think at level 70 I was around 1000 spell power....maybe as little as 900. If you are at 950 or higher you should be ok I think.lol as a paladin i healed it with 560 sp :) so imagine some boys who were not raiding as a holy paladin :)
really guys you can heal it with around 560 sp
