Rerolling idea for Wowhead users!
Return to board index
Post by
Cloaked
What if we got say, 20-40 wowhead users, all rolled on a new pvp server, and leveled together in a guild...
I just feel like, it would be fun to start from scratch with a big group, all going through the same situations...
Just an idea.
Information:
PVP Server.
Horde (imo more maturity in players)
American Servers.
EST-CST-or-PST We would negotiate the time zone situation when we had enough people to make a general, this works for the most people, decision
To contact me with a definite "i want to do this" then please read the bottom of this page. the 935CST Update.
Continue to post here...ideas suggestions, everything :)
Im thinking a possible start date would be
middle August, or early September
depending on how restless we start to get. Or Patch 3.2 timings. Withing 3 days....maybe sooner
Anyone interested?
****UPDATE****
Wow wow wow. 50 or so people so far. Amazing. Well here are some key points:
1. CST Server.
2. Med Population.
3. Horde Characters.
4. No set server or start time yet.
5. Wowhead or Bust is the guild's name.
6. Currently voting on Sargeras or Stormreaver so go to the last page and vote!
7. All for fun from level one!
Also, I NEED people to e-mail me if they are interested. A lot of you have already, but those that havn't or are interested and new to the topic, PLEASE email me.
Sometime VERY soon (before Sunday 5pm EST) I will have a decision on the server and the starting time for us. Still need some ideas though, on who wants to roll what etc.
I need you to email me if you havn't already (cant stress that enough). Just say your wowhead name, and what you'd like to roll. And go vote for server!
Thanks.

Sounds like a really fun idea, but it'd be really hard to schedule times to play that fits everyone schedule, and then there's always the chance they'll just stop and go back to their mains. Unless of course, you just mean we play like we normally would, only on this new server in this guild of fellow Wowheaders?
But if you can find a decent amount of people, I'd definitely consider it.
^.^

You need someone high in the ranks of wowhead to support this idea
In order to keep this thread going? Or to organize it and get the ball rolling?
Josh Mullins: American servers are what I am on.

Not exactly true. About a year ago I was part of a group of five (brought together through Wowhead) that rolled new Horde toons on a newer server. Unfortunately due to time issues the I had to leave the group, as did one other member; I'm not sure if it's still going or not.

Well, simple fact in WoW, is no one will really ever stop playing on the server they are on right now. Hence the 40 or so(at the least) people we would need. People will inevitably stop, or switch to their mains. But if the core group, actually leveled etc. it would be very fun......and NO DKS lol...

It sounds like a good idea, but you need to provide more information, so this can actually be taken seriously. You said a PvP realm, yes?
all rolled on a new pvp server
Yes.
Now would this be on an American or EU realm?
Would we be Horde or Alliance?
Once we have more details, you can actually make a post.

Well my first goal was to see how many people are interested.
Editing the original post now.

There we go. Now try getting some way for people to contact you. Make a quick hotmail account perhaps? Or some other form of communication. I know a lot of Wowheaders lately seem to be "bored with their toons", so this might actually turn into something.

Only problem I could foresee is elitest and casuals end up conflicting in the guild
I don't see how that would be an issue really...
With as big of a group as we could potentially have, of course were going to have people raiding their mains, people working and dating and such, just like always.
And of course there would be those that played non stop lol.
The idea here isnt (immediately isn't*) to get a guild on a new server 14/14 progressed. MY idea, is to...start a new. Start from scratch but this time you KNOW what to do, you have friends with you.

It looks good so far, but I'm curious, would we be assigning (or volunteering) for certain proffessions, playing the AH, etc. so the guild thrives and nobody is short on cash? Or just say screw it, have everyone do whatever, and hopefully people will be helping eachother out?

Well my hopes are:
-The people that think "Hey that would be fun!" would naturally be the type of people that would want to help out each other if we did this. You, holeofart, just by asking that question, show me that you would be one to say hey, whatever we need to do
to help eachother
is fine by me.
-We would be considerate to eachothers wants as far as professions etc. I personally hate the idea of having to do Blacksmithing again, but if no one has done it before, and I have the experience, well then I dont mind.
-I feel that if this becomes a reality, then our group would have the courtesy to say 'Ok, we need a new bank tab, I just made 100g, lets throw XX* gold in the guild bank for a new tab.'
-Everyone understand that we arn't trying to be the best vs other guilds on the server, or the best vs eachother. We are trying to make wow fun(somewhat challenging) again by starting a new.

I would definitely consider it, but I feel I've put way too much time and effort into my alliance toons to abandon them.
I sent you an email.
I suggest Bloodscalp US =)

new ideas scare me, so I signed up with your email address to a whole bunch of naughty websites, jk, maybe.
Don't post your email address like that, put a space or write 'at' instead of @ on public websites, it's safer.
