Hello,
I have 1 more question.
While looking up info for my friend I saw something that contradicted what I thought to be true...(ie.. MH slow OH fast)
I read repeatedly that it is best to have a slow MH and a fast OH.
But from the EJ forums, i saw many responses that said that a fast MH and fast OH is best, as the slow MH only helps mutilate, and the fast MH .
here is an example:

Response # 8
"Finishers do not depend on the weapon speed or damage whatsoever. Envenom's damage is based only on your AP and nothing else. So really, the only reason it matters is because finishers can PROC things from the main hand.
The advantage to wielding the slower weapon in the main hand is that your mutilates hit slightly harder.
However it is always advantageous to put instant poison on the faster weapon, and since finishers CAN proc poisons (and other effects) from your main hand, you will be able to proc IP on finishers if you put the faster weapon MH. Turns out this is more useful than getting slightly more damage out of your mutilates"
----------------------------------------------------------------
As my friend is Combat swords, does that hold true, or should he stick to slow MH and fast OH?
TL;DR
weapon speed for combat rogue
MH slow OH fast or should the MH be fast?
Thank you,

Thank you for the clarification.
I am trying to do the homework for him as.... well.... thats what I do.
I usually do very well with theorycrafting specs/rotations/gear etc... and he asked me to help.
BUT i have never been able to wrap my mind around rogues... try as i might.
Thank you again for all your help in getting this retired paladin the ability to help his rogue buddy!

Dont forget Deadly is still with precentage. Although a slow
off hand wouldnt be wise. Since you need to get 5 stacks as soon as possible for maximum uptime of DP and Always have a 5 stack Envenom

Why yes, my pally is/was Ret.
But that was for lvl'ing purposes..
At heart Valundar is/was/will always be a healadin.
Edit:
One day I'm sure ill come back and heal...
One day......
But for now, it will have to stick to forum trolling/theorycrafting for my buddies that still play.

I have a ? on this...
I thought that the rotation was:
Rotation:
1. Sinister Strike to 5 Combo Points.
2. Slice and Dice.
3. Sinister Strike to 5 Combo Points.
4. Rupture.
5. Sinister Strike to 5 Combo Points.
6. Does Slice and Dice have >12 seconds left? If yes, Eviscerate. If no, Go to Step 2.
7. Go to Step 1.
Should this be Envenom rather than evis?
Edit:
Remember, my buddy is Combat sword. (not sure if clarification is needed... but oh well)

Envenom should only be used if you're specced into vile poisons.
