Any of your holy based spells, your heals, holy fire, smite, etc. Will have an increased 5% crit rate.
Any spell in the holy school (think elements here) that has the possibility to crit will be increased by this talent.

Yes, naked your priest will have 10.44% crit w/ this talent. You then can increase your crit in 1 of 2 ways. 166.6667 = 1% crit and 45.91 crit rating = 1%.
Edit: Keep in mind that naked, your priest has 200 int which increases your crit by 2.44%. Then as a priest, you also get a base crit of 3%. (Plus the 5% from the talents, your at 10.44%)

dont do maths on. just grab it :P
Math is very important for figuring out a balanced gear set. It does you no good to just
grab
gear and not understand how it will help/hurt you.
I consider it vital to know that:
166.6667 int = 1% crit (as well as giving you 15 mana and scaling w/ spi-based regen)
45.91 crit rating = 1% crit
32.79 haste = 1% haste
On a like note, you should know how to judge whether mp5 gear or spirit gear is better for you. Obviously spirit is better for holy/shadow, but as far as disc comes into play, you need to know which one is better and by how much. Unless you plan on using a bunch of fancy addons to convert everything for you, it defiantly helps to be able to look at a piece of gear and know how much it will help/hurt you to grab it.

Rofl. Yes, it doesn't really matter if you'd be at 50% crit w/o it, the 5% is still worth 5 tps.
And don't give me to much credit, it's quite often I look back on a post and realize how stupid something I said was. (will probably happen for this comment as well).
