I re-install the game after 4 1/2 years.. and everything is completely new for me..
So I have a question about bank alts.. This bank character is in the same wow account of my main character, right? Is just a character that waits between the mail box and the AH. This character need to be trained in something?
Or I need to pay for another account to have this bank character?
Thanks!

You probably want your bank alt to be a character on the same account, on the same server, and of the same faction as your main character. It's just a character who can move items between the mail, their bank, and the auction house for you.

A bank alt is usually placed next to the mail box in a mayor city of your faction.
- Ogrimmar for Horde
- Ironforge for Alliance
There isnt much special about having a bank alt but people use them well obviously to make money hence the name "Bank Alt." However say you have been leveling your character and gathering many items from either your proffesion/s or loot from mobs. You would send all of the items every so often so say... Everytime your bags were getting full you would visit a mail box and vendor to sell the greys and then proceed to send the items of value to your bank alt.
They save alot of bag space as most people would simply be visiting the auction house every few hours to clear some space, You can simply send it over and at the end of the day or when you decide to stop playing. You log onto the bank alt and post it all on the auction house.
Then the next time you need to log onto the bank alt to post more auctions, you collect the money if anything has sold.
P.S
Some usefull addons for a bank alt or just in general are:
- Auctioneer
(An auction house addon which is very handy)
- Postal
(Allows you to with a click of a button take every item from the mail and it will be placed into your bags automatically)
I hope this helped you out and welcome back to World of Warcraft!
