Armor choices should be pretty obvious, starter pvp gear (Hateful can be purchased with Honor).
Enchants crit are your main goal. Rotation... that's a harder one since its pvp but
Opener : CS
Rotation : Mut>mut>kS>Mut>Mut > evis
I haven't really pvp'd as mutilate so I could be wrong, not my area.

I think regardless if Burst is being effected in 3.2 or not, Stunlock is still the way to go. Rogues are all about Burst and the Stuns, with the upcoming patch, we'll have to rely on the stunlock.
In anycase, there is no specific set rotation for PvP. Occasionally you would open with this
CS>Mutilate5CP>KS>Mutilate>mutilate>Evis
Thats the standard rotation, but through out that rotation, your opponent could and most likely will Trinket out of your Stuns. Thats where experience comes into play, you've gotta be able to adapt to your opponent's moves. Everyone fights differently. Just know when to use your skills.
For example, i hate fighting Disc Priests, because it takes FOREVER to kill one, 1 vs 1 that is. Or some might even say the really good disc priests don't ever die. Well when its a 1 vs 1 against a disc priest i always open up with Garrote. It silences them for 3 seconds, basically a stun but it also bleeds them which is a plus. Then i mutilate to 5CP and i KS and while they're stunned i mutilate to 5CP and i Rupture. Bleeding them will help take away their stupid damage absorber and then i'll vanish and open with Garrote again for the silence and bleed IF they have the damage absorber on again. If not, CS and use the standard Rotation.
Every fight is different, you have Disarm and Blind, vanish and preparation, Shadowmeld if you're a NE. Sprint and Gouge, Kicks and what not.
I've written an essay :| But to sum it all up, your standard rotation will only work sometimes, they will change 95% of the time you PvP. Just gotta practice.
