Leveling Balance, is cloth okay?

I've decided to level balance, but as most know there isn't a whole lot of good leather caster gear (at low levels). So should I be wearing cloth? I will have 2 talent points in Improved Mark Of The Wild, which should help with the armor deficiency.
Also, if you've leveled balance please share your experiences, or any tips you have.

Cloth is always okay.

For the love of God, don't do this before level 40. After that though, cloth armor is fine, and Balance leveling is quick and easy.

I can't stand leveling feral though. I have a mage, and I love casting. And if it takes longer or is harder I'll live. I want to do it this way.
I leveled my mage as fire. Not frost like everyone said, and I did just fine.

What I always tell people is that the absolute only reason to prefer Leather over Cloth is if you're planning on getting hit which should only be in PvP. In PvE, either your incoming damage will be expected physical or it will be elemental; in both cases your armor class is irrelevant. Wear whatever has the best stats for you.

Either way, pre-outland your best bet is cloth. Even after that the cloth is sometimes better so dont be shy about taking it.
In terms of BiS gear for a balance... Other then Tier set pieces everything that can be cloth is BiS.
Edit: the only time you
ever
need to worry about cloth vs leather is when looking at PvP. You will do yourself a disservice by ignoring it since the armor values mean next to nothing if you can nuke something down before it hits you.

It is better to not use dot's at all unless it is an elite.
Best rotation to use is SF > SF > W til dead. Just start at max range first.

i also lvled my druid balance
it was my second druid lvled (the first one was alliance, now horde) the first one was lvled feral. i enjoyed both but i think that after lvl 50-60 with some good gear, it was easier lvling balance than feral. i choosed balance because i had the cloth hairloom shoulder so why not. i tought it was harder but i find it quite easy
i only used wrath or starfire for more mana preservation and with the SP heirloom trinket, i rarely ran out of mana. it was also easy for me to heal an instance if needed
my point is lvling feral cat is realy fast dps wise, but you ran ot of mana quickly if you heal yourself
you can level quite fast in moonkin form and you can effectively heal yourself since you have a lot of mana and spellpower.
also you have good multimobs ability with typhoon and hurricane. and Owlkin Frenzy + hurricane = a lot of dps !
