Shamam or not to shaman?

Many people aren't thrilled with the idea of leveling from 1-80. It honestly doesn't bother me. What does bother me is getting bored with leveling or playing a character.
Here is what I mean.
I haven't max leveled every class but I have maxed a few and gotten into the 50s with some others, many I gave up on.
I loved leveling my warlock, but I got bored with it when I max leveled it. I loved leveling my druid AND I loved playing it at max level. Even though my death knight only had to go from 55-80, I loved leveling and playing it at 80.
But there are some classes that I can't bear to level. Mage, shaman, and warrior. I hear about how great these are to play but I always get bored when trying to level them. I always quit. I haven't gotten shaman and mage very far, though. Maybe I should stick it out?
But then I have the other possible fear. What if I enjoy leveling but hate max level, like I did with warlock?
It takes me about 4-5 months to go from 1-80 and I hate to spend that time to be disappointed in the end.
Which brings me back to shaman. I hear more back and forth on shaman being fun to play/level than probably any other class. I want to play one but ... do I?
EDIT: I realize I spelled "shaman" wrong in the title. I need a doctor.

So does it bother you or not?
Anyways, shamans are a good class, they're just sort of boring to level as first. Once you pick up stormstrike and lava lash they're a lot more interactive.

You sound like an ALT-o-holic. What's the point in leveling to 80 if you have no plans to play the end game? I think I remember your posts, you said you had 1 hour or so max a day to play? Why do you roll so many alts etc if you don't have that much time to play?
I use to roll a lot of alts until I figured out that sticking to one toon yields greater rewards. The heroics all fit within one hour generally, and you can do one a day. Maybe it's the repetative notion of doing lvl 80 stuff that turns you off. You sound like you just haven't gotten a toon to level 80 that you enjoy play AT level 80. Perhaps you should read what the end game is like for each class, before you decide to level up yet another alt.

I happen to like the process of leveling. I'm quite good at it. After getting Naxx onto farm and starting ulduar progression, I just got severely burned out on raiding. It happens every time (MC, then TK, and now Uld). I hate waiting 30 minutes for everyone to be ready, then we wipe. Wait 30 minutes for everyone to be ready, then we wipe. It's the waiting.
So I just level other toons.

Lorkin, here is the deal.
Once I get to 80, there is only so much I can do at max level. Maybe some 5 mans, PvP, the Wintergrasp raid offers something new. But that's generally it. I can't do raiding and such. So I make alts.
Sticking to one toon does offer greater rewards but they are limited. For instance, with my 80 death knight, I can get epics from PvP, either wintergrasp or battlegrounds, but outside of those or purchasing some BoE epics when I have a ton of extra cash, that's about it. I will run dailies, but only for cash because the rep items won't really help me since I don't do raiding.
So I can't get the other "rewards". I make another toon.
In response to theMediator:
When I say I get bored leveling a character, it's the class I get bored with not the leveling process. For instance, I never got bored leveling my warlock or druid because I enjoyed playing them, even though I did the same quests over and over. But I did get bored with paladin and priest, which I didn't mention in my first post. I would try different specs and so forth but I just didn't enjoy them.
I am not an altaholic by nature. I am usually forced to create alts because I box my level capped characters in after a while. I mentioned my 80 death knight before. I will mention it again because it is the one I am playing right now. She is most of the way there on PvP epics - some from Wintergrasp, some from battlegrounds, one was bought at the AH. Once she is done with the epics, there really won't be anything else she can do except either wait for the level cap to be raised or wait until better pvp epics are offered.
This is where the alts come in.

Well, to be fair, for some the reward is the leveling. I enjoy end-game content, but I also like the accomplishment of leveling a whole new class. That's why I now have a level 80 Paladin and Shaman, a level 74 DK (my current project), with plans to level a Mage next.

Alts were the original way to dual-spec.
I'm in a heroic group, and we need a healer. I 'dual-spec' over to my druid.

Yeah for a long time, i also had only like an hour maybe 2 to play. But I played all the time. So no I couldnt get in a raid, because you just dont have that much time so sit and play the whole time. When I only had a little while I would be busy powerleving some alts.
If it was a random night when I knew i could play for 4-5 hours then yeah Id get on a max level and hop in a raid. So i understand where you are coming from.

Well do what you think is fun. Generally nowadays you can get a lot of stuff done within 1 hour. You can run Vault, 10 and 25 man versions. You can do OS 10 or 25 man in 1 hour. Even an EoE in one hour. Heroics surely fit within an hour. Once 3.2 comes, you can work on badges till you're full of epics, never having to step foot in Naxx.
Or you could try to do what I did for a bit. Join a guild or lead a small raid of people in the same boat as you. Do a wing of Naxx per night, 1 hour each. 4 wings, 4 nights, 1 hour each night. You can get a LOT done even though you are restricted to time limits. You'll be surprised.
