Warlock Spec question

Back Story: I am leveling a warlock (68 atm). He is dual specced Affliction/Demonology. I pulled both of these specs off of the stickies here.
I was in Borean Tundra questing outside of Warsong Hold starting to do quests (I hate the bug area). Started of with the Affliction spec, but was killed rather quickly due to the insane respawn timer there. I swapped to the demonology spec and had minimal improvement.
I got to thinking last night if a hybrid Affliction/Demonology spec is feasible. I came up with
this
. Would this even work or is it a pipe dream that I should banish from my brain? If it is possible where should the filler points go?
Thanks for your time.

Well I'm not well versed enough in in specs to give you any advice in that department.
But, my warlock is at 71, so not far ahead of you. I went to Howling Fjord first when I dinged 68, playing Deep Destro and it was pretty easy (had some trouble with Skorn, so I switched to Affliction then).
So if you're having a tough time in Borean, you might want to consider taking the 3 zeppelin fights and trying out the other side. I think the starting area might be a little easier. Mobs seem to be a little more spread out and wander a little less, so you won't over pull as much as you might around those stupid bugs.
I managed to level almost to 71 in Howling Fjord and now I'm burning through the quests in Borean.

Kappajoe's levelling guide
has all the information you need to get you into northrend. At level 71 is would suggest trying
this build
(21/41/0) as it provides the speed of affliction with the safety of demonology. It can chain pull large groups and can solo almost any elite quest in northrend. As you level past 71 put your points into affliction, choosing anything that will increase your DoT damage.
from the
FAQ
yes, 21/41/0 is a well known northrend levelling build. the first player to 80 when wrath released was a warlock using a very similar build.

The second issue in this area is that the bugs are fear immune. If I don't get any replies on the hybrid spec from knowledgeable locks I may have to suck it up on the bug quests until I get out of this area.
Another question is if there are any other quest area's where mobs are immune to fear?
**EDIT
Thank you Asakawa, I did not read the leveling guide, mostly stuck to the talent build FAQ's. I will look it over

Classic SiLi/Felguard. Should work fine if you use it.

I levelled to ~73 in Outland before making any serious attempt at Northrend.
Although you get less xp per mob and per quest in Outland, killing faster and being able to use my epic flyer more than made up the difference.
The fact that Northrend was a gank-fest on my PvP realm just after Wrath launched would also have seriously slowed levelling speed.
