@dragon-I understand you, and partially agree until you get to the justification of your possibly incorrect views now:
1) technically my stance could prevent the illegilization of a murderous actIsn't "preventing the illegilization of a murderous act" the same thing as "promoting the legalization of a murderous act"... on an innocent baby no less?
2)my vote would mean so little on such a controversial subject that I wouldn't feel guilty at allI agree that voteing intelligently in a sea of idiots is like spitting on a field of flame throwers... however... isn't it about your own morality than legal actions?

Hm, I'm going to take this to the extreme. By saying that you would still be able to sleep at night, would you be taking into account how many women were killed, or had their lives ruined because of your view point? How many had died because people
thought
it was life, when it really wasn't. They died because of something that wasn't living?
You would be able to sleep at night knowing that you had your wife in that situation, where she could have died for nothing?
This is a fair point, but not a fair question. The ending question, that is. It isn't fair to assume that MyTie only chose to keep the baby because he thinks abortion is murder. I'm not putting words into his mouth, and he may very well think that way, but there certainly could have been other driving reasons.
I would definately be regretful. No doubt that my hidesight would point out my incorrect morals constantly, and I would second guess myself for the rest of my life. I'll grant you that.
Now that I was obligeing enough to follow that to conclusion, I would expect you to do the same for the opposite side of the possibility.

Isn't it interesting when we look at the two logical conclusions?
On one hand, the murder of innocent babies. On the other, the hinderance of women's rights, and even their death in some cases.
Out of the two, I have to say the second option is still the less repulsive one. They are both repulsive, but the death in the second is more 'natural', and less "human playing God". Also, there are less deaths overall that way.

Asrianorae, welcome to the discussion. I would like to address your second answer specifically. What does it mean, when an organism 'feels'?

Sid - I don't feel so strongly about a woman's right to choose. Choose what? When it is ok to end the life of her kids?
I'm going to have to revamp the OP questions.
@Gore - Thanks! This is a topic I have thought a LOT about, and debated on not just a few occasions.

Her choice to even have the kid, or to abort it if she changes her mind. This also does a small part in keeping the overall population of this planet down just a smidge.
I don't think that there is such an overpopulation problem that we can use that as logic to shrug off possible infant murder.

This is a logical fallacy.

To avoid flame arguements, we ask that you provide backup arguements and logic instead of finger pointing. Thank you.

@Innorath - Wow... that was a great post. I didn't agree with everything you said, but the first paragraph was exactly what the other person was asking for.
