The women affected by this kind of legislation are the ones who have the best reasons for abortion. They are those whose lives are in danger, or have fetuses with severe abnormalities. These fetal abnormalities are not always diagnosed before 20 weeks.
The others affected are the vulnerable women/girls who are in abusive relationships or are in denial about being pregnant or for religious or cultural reasons are too scared to tell their family that they are pregnant.
