Abortion Debate

Is it wrong for society to allow abortion?
If
YES
(pro-life stance):
What about medical problems?
What about if a baby has no chance?
What about cases of incest or rape?
What about if the baby is guranteed to have a bad life?
If
NO
(pro-choice stance):
What about the life lost?
What is the difference between abortion and murder?
What does 'choice' mean? Why shouldn't mothers get the choice to kill children already born?
If 'life' is something we cannot scientifically define in an unborn baby, then how is it acceptible for us to abitrarily decide to abort it?
This thread lasted for 5 pages last time with no flames. That thread has since been purged from the board by our overzealous moderators. Let's prove to them that we don't need thier moderation to have an open ended debate in the search for knowledge and defense of our beliefs. So, to that end, let's not flame eachother, but instead, ask questions, and accept differences.

lol theres an ad for the bible at the top of the page, how appropriate
edit: noticing irony, not criticizing or suggesting anything based on the topic
I don't have numbers in front of me, but it would be no stretch of the imagination to see the pro-life side of the debate as statistically more self professing Christian.
However, you haven't answered any of the questions provided by the OP. Please help us avoid flames by staying on topic.
Thank you.

if NO (pro-choice stance):
What about the life lost? it all depends on were you belive the baby is alive or not
Why is the difference between abortion and murder? nothing really
What about statistics showing damage to mother's psyche? im not really sure how to answer this
Why does the government have a right to deny an inaliable right to life?
because weather we like it or not things like this are made by our senators members of the house and even our presisdent who take there moral and ethical and their faith views into consideration . also from religeous orginizations who protest this with out end.
also i am pro choice because i think that no one has the right to say that you cant not terminate your pregnancy.
also it might have something to do with doctors oath to not harm anyone but i could be wrong abou this.

The first sentence disproves the second sentence by the sheer arrogance contained within it. These boards are for the owners to moderate, not you. You do not decide what is worthy of being kept unlocked and what is not; they do.
If it is locked, it means a green or blue (or pink) poster decided that it was not an appropriate for any of these forums, regardless of whether there were flames or no flames. Discuss it elsewhere.
All the first sentences disprove the last one.

Thanks to the mods for giving this thread another chance.
As to answer the OP's questions:
In no circumstance do I feel justified to say that abortion is accpetible, nor do I feel comfortable with letting anyone else make that distinction. I am not saying that abortion is not acceptible. All I am saying is that until we know more about the origion of life and what defines life, we should not be so willing to end it.

Nice job answering boh sides of the debate. You kept a nice even keel and a very rational opinion.
I would like to hear you elaborate on the 'arbitrary source' in your last answer.

That is off topic. I will only follow you there to say: I disagree with giving the judicial branch the power to make laws like that. That responsibility should fall into the legislative branch.
More on topic: Why should any humans or all humans feel they have the authority to decide when life begins, based on our limited scientific understanding? Isn't the 'correct' answer also the 'safe' answer, which is a resounding no to abortion until we know for sure that it is not murder?

1) If the legislative branch cannot in good conscious make the law, then the judicial branch has no ability to interpuret it.
2) You cannot prove me to me that you have life, or any other humans. I could argue that there is no such thing as life, and all we are is chemical reactions. Therefore, if I feel at risk by anybody for any reason, real or trivial, I can use the abortion debate to murder them. The mother's life being at risk doesn't justify aborting the baby. Besides, that is a 1% arguement. One of those that falls into the tiny minority of reasons that abortions are performed.
