Hello,
I think I have found a bug at the Browse Database section of the website.
I've created a weight scale for a warrior tank and selected rare gems for the final score, and I got this:

As you could see (I hope), at the red marked area, the suggested "Solid Sky Sapphire" (blue gem) do not match the color of the socket.
If you (the webmaster) need some additional info, please don't mind to ask. I'll be glad to help to your great website.
Thank you and best regards.

The gear rating may have decided that the +24 stam gem was a better choice than a lesser gem and the socket bonus combined.

Err... no, that's not the point.
What I meant is that you can't possibly fit in a pure
blue gem in a red socket
, and the searching engine is doing that, so the scoring ends with wrong values and you don't get a precise final result.
AND... as you can see at the bottom part of the screenshot in my previous post, there's even a yellow socket that also receives the same blue gem as a choice...
My humble opinion is that it is a bug.

You can put a blue gem in a red socket, you just don't get the bonus stat when you do it.
