(...) the Scourge remains perhaps the most dangerous threat to the world of Azeroth.
The Burning Legion is the most dangerous threat to Azeroth, seeing as how there wouldn't actually be a Scourge if it wasn't for the Legion.
Fun fact of the day: Another name for the Burning Legion is Legion of the Lower Planes.

The Legion is the ultimate threat, but at the moment its fighting among itself. Kil'jaeden is off licking his wounds after the failed attempt to enter azeroth at the sunwell, and the position of destroyer since Archimonde death hasn't been filled so you have the higher class demons; Dreadlord's Eredar Shivarra's and the like, at war with one another, trying to set themselves up as the new heads. And of course, Sargeras is still out there somewhere, trying to pulling himself together after Medivh's death.
But that doesnt mean the Scourge are something to laugh at, don't forget they ran the Legion out of Northrend all on their own, other then Mel'ganis's little tricks in the Scarlet Onslaught.

Thirded, there was really no reason of copy & pasting an area of WoWwiki with no apparent reason whatsoever.
Was there a question here, or even a topic?
Fourthed, as far as I can tell not really. But hey! The more you know =)

Fun Fact: Dar'khan Drathir has died three times.
He must be related to Kael'thas.
Edit: Also, Joang, the Horde and Alliance have way more than just tens of thousands. The population of Stormwind alone is over 200,000.

I doubt it, more then likely if the King goes down, one of the necromancers will step up to take over, kinda like Kil'jaeden did for the legion after the "death" of Sargeras and Medivh. The Scourge is like their parent, the Legion, pure evil and death brought to life.

It find it interesting that, the Scourge have limitless numbers, yet they are getting pushed back to Icecrown. When a Scourge dies, they can be raised again, same thing as when anything else dies. They have the option of raising them as undead.

They dont have limitless numbers, we've gotten smart nowadays and we usually burn/destroy the bodies so they can't be raised again. If the army can use the dead bodies against you, you cut off that supply by destroying them. There are only a finite amount of people after all heh, I seriously doubt the Scourge would think to set up a breeding program to make sure they continue to exist.
