Hey guys,
Just wanna ask some of the PvE expert Rogues here. How important is Expertise in maximising PvE dps? Right now given the choice of for example, crit rating vs. expertise on a particular item, I would take crit rating. Every red gem slot I gem with AP (moving on to Agi as I get more Ulduar gear). My unbuffed stats are as follows:
3985 AP
230 Hit rating (not counting 5% precision, yeah overcap)
30.5% Crit chance
19 / 19 Expertise (158 rating)
The only expertise I have are from these two items:
Hemorrhaging Circle
and
Chestguard of the Recluse
I'm running 51/13/7 so I don't have Weapon Expertise. So the question now is, should I sacrifice some AP and regem for expertise to cap it? Or shall I just wait until I get some more expertise gear?
Thanks in advance

The exact value of expertise is an unknown for mutilate builds considering no spreadsheet can yet model the effect a dodged envenom with <3 secs left on your slice and dice. Most players as mutilate cap expertise for the extra safety factor and rotation smoothness.

As mut-spec, I recommend capping the expertise when pre-uld / semi-uld geared.
When late-uld geared or even BiS geared, a few mut/env being dodged won't hurt. As you just have too many energy, you could always Env at 5CPs with SnD still has 6sec+.
Dodged attacks give no damage, but the lose of dodged attacks could be covered by simple Agi/AP gains, at BiS/close-to-BiS geared.
