What is the problem with Feral Cat - Charge

So I was in Battleground today, having an encounter with a Priest. I got some distance to charge (Cat), and,....I ended up behind him, but,..facing the other way (away from him). In my opinion, this is a useless spell. If I don't end up facing the other way (which I think is ridiculous) I usually end up a couple feet behind my target, THEN have to walk up to them. By the time the 3 second daze expires, it's too late to do anything, such as Shred for example. In short, for pvp this is useless.
Does anybody else think so? Or am I doing it wrong?
This would be a lot better if the 3 seconds would be a stun instead of a daze. jmo.
Btw,...that Priest ate me for lunch!

It shouldn't have done that unless you did it by causing your player to continue in that direction.
If you use it correctly you'll fly at them, facing their back when you land. This sets up for a perfect attack, and can be used when stealth.
This + Prowl = great.

This + Prowl = great.
Only a retard would use charge right before prowl in pvp.
/shrug. Most I've pvped with my druid was at 39.
It worked then.
:D
It was also sarcastic. Clearly that's a poor combo.

Prowl + cat charge has its uses in BG's. Its great for separating 1 person from a pack of enemies. Charge to the guy at the end of the pack, and he gets dazed; chances are his teammates wont notice hes been seperated since he hasn't be attacked yet, just moving slowly. As they ride off, and daze is about to wear off, you pounce :).
Its unlikely you will need both cat charge and bear charge in a single fight if you managed to open up with pounce, the main exception being a mage.

The most likely reason you were pointed away from the priest is mouse turning. You were probably holding your right mouse button down and pressed forward or turned your screen a bit(while holding the button down, this will point you in the direction your screen is pointed).
You can cat charge mounted targets and get them. You have to dash before you charge tho, and it rarely/never works while stealthed.
Also, if you are trying to catch a target that's mounted and have a tough time getting pounce off, run in the same direction they are, and you have a larger window so it won't get latencied as easily.

It really shouldn't be a daze, since that kind of gives away your presence.
Druid: I'm going to Feral Charge this guy.
Mage: Hmm, I'm Dazed, maybe I should hit my Frost Nova button.
Mage Casts Frost Nova, Druid is afflicted by Frost Nova.
Druid: I swear, Blizzard hates Feral Druids (they probably do, name one thing they do better than another class. Tanking?
DPS?
PVP?)
Mage: Oh YEAH, I hit the Druid with Frost Nova, I'm hella skilled!
Umm, maybe you're not much of an end-game raider, but feral DPS is through the roof right now, hence the incoming nerfs in 3.2 :P.
Just sayin'.

pretty much the "daze" effect sucks its like "hey use and aoe ability cause there's a feral druid and he's gonna pounce you"
usually when I'm dazed and there's nobody around I just press my "x" ability which is Howl of Terror =P.
