My wowarmory link is
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Detheroc&n=Xsnow
I do average 4-5k in most fights, 7k+ on XT but with my gear I feel I should be doing higher. A fellow rogue friend in the same raid has calamity grasp + webbed death out dps's me. I don't know if he runs his rotation different or what.
Is my expertise holding me back? Is it Armor Pen?
I keep SnD up as much as possible, I keep rupture up as much as possible, eviserate when I can.
On meters, the other rogue does way more sinister strike damage then me, which I don't quite understand.
Any suggestions? Gear or rotation or anything to try?

Um, no, your expertise is ok. Can afford to get
alil
more, but dont worry too much about expertise as combat.
The thing that's wrong is...obvious. You're sword spec, yet using a mace OH. Srsly, that's kinda big there. also....bandit's? much better trinkets out there.
But really, dont mix weapons with your spec. If you're sword spec, go sword/sword.

Killing Spree is awesome in single targets to, not only that it grants you massive DPS, it grants you massive energy too.
The effect of KS is that you stops attacking the mob with your regular attacks, but it keeps your DPS up AND gives you energy for you NEXT attack.
To see this for yourself is too do VoA, the very first mob is the target.
TotT the tank and get 1 CP for SnD, then empty your energy bar asap with Sinister Strike and then pop KS and finish your CPs with Eviscate.
The mob is dead in a few seconds so it's important to nuke it in a way that people may think it's the last time you'll ever play this game.
And don't use Deadly Poison on trash<-----Best tip ever.

KS+blade flurry isnt too bad...you're still auto-attacking during KS. the problem is that it's better to use blade flurry with AR, and then do KS after AR has worn off so you dont get in danger of energy capping. It's also optimal to do KS after having SnD and rupture up on the target already.

Of course you are, I should have been clearer with my statement. The thing is that you are not using any energy with Sinister Strikes, Eviscerates etc. This is awesome for your following attacks.

well the thing is, i'm not worried about dps on mobs, i'm talking ulduar bosses. of course BF gives more dps on mobs and walking about while dots are on lower your dps. I have calamity's grasp, malice, and this mace. I don't have 2 really good same weapons, so what ever one i get next i'm using that spec until i find a better combo. doesn't sound like i got much advice other then cooldowns which i use fine. rupture glyph is better then eviserate as rupture does more damage?

I answered your question directly.
THIS
is the single biggest problem you have. I'm not kidding here, spreadsheet it if you have to. HUGE difference in dps. DO NOT mix weapons with your spec. Have CG? Go run naxx 25 for WD if you're having problems getting an OH dagger in uld. But the council in 10 man uld drops a decent OH sword, so it'd be better if you try and get that.
Change that SINGLE aspect, and you'll see a notable difference in dps.

1) You don't need to enchant youself with Hit considering your current gear, it's not as valuable as other stats (e.g. Agi/AP)
2) Don't worry about expertise as Combat, it's not as valuable as other stats (e.g. Agi/AP)
3) Take a closer look at your T7 chest: is 8agi+6crit really better than 16agi?
4) Shoulder, Chest and Bracers enchants could be improved
5) Mining provides a crap PvE boost when compared to other professions
6) As Greyghost has pointed out, mixing specializations should be avoided. But if you absolutely have to, keep this in mind: Out of all mixed specs, any with Sword Spec for
offhand
is unique because the proc/effect does occur for mainhand attacks as well. None other weapon specialization has this trait
