If we can think of a use that'd make it OP then they'll do something to avoid that, but yes it'd be quite nice to avoid those. Good thing is it'd prevent the "shift from cat/bear to heal people, rez or whatever and then don't have enough mana to shift back".
The one thing that i hope won't happen from this is a redesign of travel forms before tree or moonkin (not that it's explicitely stated, but it might be infered from the last answer).
Not much to comment appart from that on my side. Them changing things to make balance rotation more interesting is good for me (though i do feel they dumb it down somewhat in 3.2 actually). The new spell is probably more fo a next extension thing i guess so we'll see.
About the "use more forms", i can't say i care much about it as i'm not PvPing at all but i'm all open to things that shake the old feelings a little.

In addition to having to give up utility in order to heal as a Tree of Life, we have become less enamored with druids locking themselves into one form. In fact, you really never see the basic tauren or night elf druid form (you know, the one that actually shows off the awesome armor art) because all druids are in cat, bear, tree, or moonkin form nearly 100% of the time.
I find it charming that Druid players don't even know what their characters look like.

This is a stretch, but I wish they'd change the artwork for the actual act of the shapeshift, something more morph-tastic instead of just a puff of magic smoke. I realize this would add all sorts of ingame lag issues and what naught, but I just think the smoke puff is cheesy.
At the very least, show us some love in the cinematics... Imagine, a group of druid elders is gathered around the moonwell on a high plateau... a loud noise to the south catches their attention, 2 of them drop into cat / travel form (with nice morphing graphic effects) and sprint for the nearby cliffs edge, leaping off into the air, and then shifting again into Flight form (more neat Morph effects)...
Something like that. The Original WoW cinematic had an odd little scene of a druid just running through the woods, and it was freakin sweet. Needs moar druids in cinematics.

ofc I know what my druid looks like. Fat, furry and Brown.
Well, it did make leveling through Outland a lot more bearable when I didn't have to see the that I was wearing, or my .
@Heckler - I agree wholeheartedly. The puff of smoke needs to go, but I don't know what is practical to replace it. Doing an actual morph might be a bit too complicated for what they're interested in implementing.
I'm kind of partial the way that each role of a druid uses a form. I don't really care that I never see caster form. I suppose it invalidates the work the artists did, in a sense, but I feel that one of the things that makes the druid class so cool
is
the forms. I don't think I'd mind if we got fairly bland armor but they spent the time they saved on figuring out how to visually display combined item level in forms.

The druid forum is far more forgiving. When I posted the paladin Q&A in the paladin forum, that sucker got locked by mods so fast...

My favorite part was when GC basically said, "bears are fine, l2p."
